I've only ever made it to his one in Fort Erie (disclosure: I'm an American with family in Buffalo), and at least that one was pretty well-priced in my opinion. Tasting menu was $50 and we were all stuffed (and to food/service was really good).

To be fair to Mr. Straw, he is being paid about $7m dollars this year *and* next year to do pretty much nothing but hang out in Toronto and watch baseball at field-level. I can imagine it'd take a pretty penny to convince anyone in that financial situation to do anything they don't want to do.
