btw I'm very new to adding alt ID tags to my art so if you notice I'm making it too long or not doing it in a way that is useful please let me know. I've been trying really hard to make the text impart the same important information and viewing experience of seeing it

I am going to re-release it soon though, with revised and new versions of the art and poetry in my newer style, so stay tuned for that! unsure if it's going to be a zine or book collection because i don't know how big it will be

my first zine Gut Feelings unfortunately has been lost media by accident for like 4 years, mostly because my art and poetry style and the way I make zines has changed so heavily that itt felt wrong somehow to release it how it was

Made the cover for Black Sparks volume 2! I really love this one. It kind of makes me nostalgic for the illustrations that I did for my first zine, Gut Feelings.
A silhouette is torn apart viciously starting in the mouth and mucosal area of their face. It tears through the neck. There is debris in the air inside and around the figure, though it is uncertain that it is a snapshot of carnage and blood suspended in the moment of time or if it is particles in the air that are tearing apart the body. In the chest cavity of the silhouette rests the Black Sparks logo. The logo is a sharp, semi-crystaline amalgamation of different objects that are not fully recognizable on their own, surrounded by 2 cicles of barbed wire. The title looks to be heavily artifacted with several scanlines ran through the letters. The whole of the image itself resembles an emergency warning sign like that of a welding fume warning or those depicting how COVID is transmitted that were commonly distributed during lockdown in 2020 -2022.

I helped edit this and good god, Rare's zine is so great. It's one of those writings that you can't put down after picking up, but it's agony. High school queer melancholia and trauma in small town Ohio. It has a very distinctive style and voice.

This one is actually a homage to a previous painting I did and gifted to Rats about 5 years ago, Two Lovers (acrylic on canvas). It was back when my art style was a bit more abstract.
Two figures holding each other in a room, seemingly made of different lumps of clay. Their heads are fading into the air as if made of smoke. There is a wound open in the walls ahead of them, and you can make out the outline of a city street. There is a door to the left made out of similar clay.

Vesuvius, acrylic and ink on canvas board. This painting is on the back cover of @txikiena.bsky.social 's Extremophiles.
Two fem figures, white as marble, holding each other in an abandoned train station. The edge of the platforms are instead replaced by dirty and aged walls, silvery black bramble vines hanging off the edge of the ceiling onto them. The two women are surrounded by puddles collected by the broken floor tiles of the station, reflecting a brilliant, cascading wall of sunlight. There is nothing beyond the light. The two are facing this light and comforting one another.
