Exactly! I was about to comment this. What's come out since is obviously SO much worse, but pleading ignorance to the tattoo was a blatant, disqualifying lie. It was one thing to say "he'll be better for Palestine, but he sucks." People went in so hard for him, though. It was disheartening.

Is this a nosebleed from being in the desert, or is this from horking up fat lines of yayo at the Hilary Duff concert? I have chronic sinus issues & my ENT got me on an OTC nasal spray called Xlear. Life-changer. But, among other things, it keeps my nasal passages from drying out during winter.

Spotify is a pain in the ass to me now. Once I got used to Apple Music, I fell in love with it. I vastly prefer Apple Music, even if the corporation is no better than any other and far worse than some. And hey, they got Gaga and she has never made ties with any bad people or businesses.

I'm pale to the point of translucent, particularly on my inner-forearms, so I'm a phlebotomist's dream. There was a coffee place here, in the 90s, that used black lights in the bathrooms to discourage junkies from shooting up in them. These lights actually made my veins glow. I swear to you.

The singer for a Welsh band called Lostprophets, who were reasonably popular in the early-00s (I think they were bigger in the UK). His crimes were so horrifying they're difficult to wrap one's head around. He was murdered in prison this year. No one mourned.

Spot on. Let the record show that as both a Gen X-er and film geek, I've always hated Tarantino. I've never read 'The Hunger Games,' but I've seen it, as I have 'Battle Royale.' The similarities end at the basic premise. Also, as you say, this conversation already occurred 13 years ago.

I personally wouldn't lean so classic "bombshell" in the casting. Jane Fonda wasn't really that type, and I think she's the best thing about the Vadim film. I agree about Edgar Wright (I have a soft spot for him, but I've never liked one of his films). I also agree that you should direct it.

It should be Anya Taylor-Joy (terrible casting for 'Barbarella,' I realize, but I don't care). Also, Bill Skarsgård should play Pygar, the hot blind angel. It should absolutely be directed by a woman - Julia Ducournau? Rose Glass? I don't know who, but that's how you correct the Vadim of it all.

Rosalía's 'LUX' is a frigging masterpiece. Staggering shit. And of course this is a pop album. What else could it be? Pop isn't a form that needs to be subverted, its potential has always been inherently limitless. We don't deserve Rosalía, but we definitely need her.

I saw Enter the Void on a fairly big screen, when it first opened, and while I thought (and still think) the film is outstanding, I did get motion sickness during the first 15 mins or so (and I'm not generally especially susceptible that kind of thing). Never happened during subsequent viewings.

I forgot that the owners had to gut renovate the place in order to destabilize it, but that's all it would take. I lived in a 2 bed in the East Village, with a stabilized lease, for 21 yrs. Within a week of me moving out - too little time for a gut renovation - the place was listed at market rent.

It at least used to be the case that once market rent on a stabilized lease exceeded $2k, when the leaseholder moved out, the unit would be destabilized. No mother nor child would benefit then. Either way, stabilized leases are lucked into, and in no way based on need. That's the issue here.

There are few tracks in her entire repertoire about which I have more mixed feelings. It's such a great sounding track, but it's, well... I love the deep spinal chills I get when Gaga is being especially goofy. But that track can really make me have to lie down. I become immobilized with chills.
