Watching Love Through a Prism and am now in tears I haven't talked much of my ancestry - but I have inherited the letters and writings of Francis Lee Jaques via my great aunt. He himself was a wildlife illustrator in who fought in WWI, and I have his letters. I nearly forgot about them (1/?)

Here the result of the Ein Yabrud quarry #paleostream. An important locality from the Cretaceous of Palestine. While mostly famous for it's marine snakes and early mosasauroids, beautiful fish fossils and rich invertebrate fauna are completing this picture!

I find it so weird that people follow me in the woods I'll just be yapping and walking along and then people will start following me. I got mistaken as a group hike leader the other day, and I feel bad because I was just staring at some trees while they waited for me to continue the tour.

I'm taking a look at the Rhynie Chert again, so I made a quick size chart of the plants I've already illustrated from it. These plants are some of the earliest land #plants, being from the Early #Devonian. From left to right: Asteroxylon, Horneophyton and Aglaophyton. #paleoart #paleobotany #sciart

I'm frightened for us. I do not think it's an overreaction. Not remotely.
