Kushan @kushan.wtf · 09/10/2026Last night I had a nightmare that England won the world cup. I don't even care about football, the dread came from how insufferable people would be about it. 000
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 07/10/2026I can guarantee that the person that wrote this has strong opinions on "freedom of speech". 040
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 06/10/2026I sincerely doubt that everything you learned about Token Ring networks is still valid today :P 000
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/09/2026For clarity, "jack of all trades" is usually positive, then some clever clogs says "jack of all trades, a master of none" to make it negative, but then you hit them with "a jack of all trades is a master of none but usually better than a master of one". Take that, you clever prick. 010
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/09/2026I have a weird fascination about how phrases seem to always get used so much they end up meaning the opposite of their original meaning. Like "blood is thicker than water", but my favourite is "Jack of all trades" because it has flipped so far around that it's back to being a positive again. 100
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/09/2026The mirror universe episodes are the best episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. 020
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/09/2026There's unfortunately a lot of bi-erasure in the Gay community. A lot of gay people (men and women alike) view being bi as still just being in the closet, like you're really gay and just don't want to admit it. Or that bi people are actually straight but do it for attention. It's silly. 021
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 22/09/2026Of all the things on the internet that definitely happened, this definitely happened the most. 1110
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 17/09/2026Sure, but that's a problem of scale and one that's being dealt with via MoE (Model of experts) systems, it would actually suit a distributed system quite well. 020
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 17/09/2026Essentially, nothing new because we already have viruses and bonnets, just cleverer. I don't think that will be the end of humanity though, just a shit time for everyone. 010
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 17/09/2026Weirdly enough for a low point in the series, Terminator 3 actually explains that a bit - distributed computing. At some point, someone will start paying people to donate idle GPU time for LLM inference, like folding@home but for AI. Thus the data center is distributed. 230
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 17/09/2026I hate them and voted remain (and am very much in the "rejoin" camp), but I concede they're a necessary evil. I can hate the crap solution when no better solution exists. 000
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 14/09/2026How have you reached that conclusion? There was nothing in the article to suggest anything like that, if anything the TL;DR is "nothing actually changes, the number range is just different". It even says that lenders don't look at the score itself, just the underlying data which doesn't change. 000
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 14/09/2026I understand the ~24% of die hard fanatics that decided long ago to stick their fingers in their ears much better than the ~7% who are still undecided if he's good or bad. Like what more do you need to see to make up your mind? 000
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 31/08/2026I appreciate how the Germans have a word for everything, including stupid arguments. I also apologise, I appear to have misgendered you. 010
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 31/08/2026You act like the cost of power generation is fixed, when actually it varies constantly. Solar+Battery (mainly battery) means that the most expensive generation is less expensive than it otherwise would be. Net gain for the grid. 000
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 31/08/2026Solar means he's putting far less load on the grid and even exporting additional power to it at much lower cost than fossil fuel generators. His battery means he's not drawing on the grid at peak times and able to soak up excess when electric is cheap. He's helping the grid, not hindering. 200
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 31/08/2026It's more that it encourages more build of renewables because it's extremely profitable. It's not meant to be permanent, just an incentive to get more renewables on the grid. If we get to that last % of Gas, the government can change the rule. 000

Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/08/2026Are we talking hypotheticals now? Is that is? How about we talk about realities where Russia attacked a neutral country and people like you are trying to say it was justified? 100
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/08/2026But we can trust Putin at his word, right? Well, you certainly do. 120
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/08/2026You still haven't explained your whole angle here, you're bending over backwards to explain the Russian side yet haven't spent 2 seconds to explain why the Ukrainian people should let their country be invaded. What about THEIR perspective? Does that not matter? 010
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/08/2026You keep banging on about "context" but never actually provide anything. So far your entire thesis here seems to hinge on "NATO = Bad" when Ukraine isn't even part of NATO. 120
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/08/2026So....it's okay for Europe and its Allies to tell Russia to GTFO of Ukraine then, right? 140
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 25/08/2026"bUt ThE cOnTeXt!" mate the context is simple: Russia bombed Ukraine and sent its army in 8 years after they did the same in Crimea except this time Ukraine fought back. They asked NATO for help and got it because they're fighting for their homeland. There's no version where Russia isn't the bad guy 020
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026So just to be clear, because apparently you're not understanding this bit: When someone punches you and you punch back, they're the attacker and you're defending yourself. NATO didn't start supplying Ukraine until Russia Invaded, which means Ukraine was er...oh! Defending itself. 3101
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026How is the "other" side NOT buying into more deaths and suffering? Russia literally started the conflict, they started in 2014 and they continued it in 2022. Russia can end this war today if they want, they can leave and spare casualties on both sides. It's entirely on them to choose to do so. 010
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026Nobody is denying that NATO has been supplying Ukraine with weapons, training, munitions, etc. Ukraine asked for help and we stepped up because it's the right thing to do. If Russia genuinely invaded Ukraine to stop the expansion of NATO, then it backfired terribly, didn't it? 251
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026I literally work with Ukranians every day. I was working with them when Russia invaded them in 2022, I remember what that was like. I have had to say good bye to colleagues as they went to fight for their country AGAINST RUSSIA. Tell me again how the TV is lying to me. 110
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026Lol, you're parroting Russian nonsense and yet I'm the clown. Good job, mate. You're a useful idiot to someone, that's for sure. Meanwhile, I'll continue supporting my colleagues in Ukraine. 120
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026I've changed nothing, invasion _is_ always wrong. Though I think it's quite telling that you class D-day as an "invasion", telling on yourself a bit there, mate. 110
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026It's not an invasion when they were literally invaded by a foreign power. That's an occupation. Are you trying to say Ukraine is currently occupied by a foreign power and Russia are the liberators? Oh wait, you're angling for the "Russians vs Nazis" route, aren't you? Literal Russian propaganda. 110
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026Great point, except the Nazi's had literally invaded France, so.... 111
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026I wouldn't use the US's ill-attempt at whatever the fuck they're trying to do in Iran as evidence of anything beyond hubris and incompetence. Even at full military strength, they shouldn't have gone in there. Even if what you're saying is accurate, it just shows how incompetent they really are. 010
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026There's no nuance when one country invades another. That's just an invasion. Nobody invaded Russia, nobody crossed their sovereign soil, "NATO Expansion" is just an excuse for gullible people like yourself to excuse literal war crimes. 140
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026Oh and I suppose poor ol' Russia is completely innocent here. They just HAD to invade a neutral country, right? They had no choice. Even Russia isn't claiming it's the advance of NATO, they're doing it to stop fascists, remember? 110
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026Why are we even talking about Iran here? You don't actually think it was a good idea / justified for the US to start that stupid war, do you? Even most republicans don't think it's a good idea. 110
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026The US is struggling in Iran because they went in without a plan expecting to win a war in hours and when that didn't happen, they have no backout plan. Sounds familiar actually, almost like an entirely different "Special military operation".... 150
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026I mean it's really simple, Russia invaded Ukraine, NATO didn't invade anywhere. Countries can join NATO entirely at their own discretion, that's democracy and if you think that's a sign of aggression then I don't know what to tell you. Regardless, Russia started the war. They invaded. 2171
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026That makes sense! I made an incorrect assumption that you were based in the UK, my bad. 100
Kushan @kushan.wtf · 24/08/2026Oh and NATO never fired a single shot towards Russia, Russia has instead violated NATO airspace numerous times. yet NATO is the aggressor according to you 🙄 130
