I truly never expected to live to see 22. Today, I turned 37 and truly can say I am the best version of myself. I’ve brought joy into the world as much as I can. And every time the nightmares return, I remember that I survived and living well is the best revenge to those who hurt me.

I can’t state how grateful I am to be alive and able to share and embrace love for People as a whole. In this dark time, it’s easy to forget but people as a whole are filled with joy and warmth and love and only looking for the best ways to express those emotions.

A kid asked me why I was giving out stickers if today was MY birthday. I told him it’s Birthday Law that we get to do things we love and for me that’s making people smile. He smiled and said “then it must be a good birthday” and my heart nearly burst.

Not sure why THIS was my existential moment but surrounded by so many people expressing joy and unabashed love for things I realized I am so lucky and grateful to be alive and able to do these events. I never thought I’d hit 22 let alone 37 (in 2 hours). Life does get better. I believe in you ❤️

I just started this journey as well 😅 I tried Boo and got overwhelmed by lots of spam from guys trying to neg me immediately. Bumble has done alright for me so far but Hinge has the most, real kinda people for my area at least. Another friend recommended Taimi which is LGBT+ centric.
