you can actually make a pretty clean split (county level aside from LA, which gets split into thirds) of 15 similar population states (all 1.5-3 million aside from LA city proper) of which one is even a little bit red (49-48)! fun exercise! if anyone can get 15-0 w/o splitting non-LA counties lmk!
