Openness > agreeableness Social empathy > interpersonal empathy Agreeableness often masks lack of openness Some people express a desire change so long as it doesn't impact their lives. Slow steady change they will never notice. We call them liberals.

Can't vote in the Vancouver election because I'll only have been here 5 months. Oh well. Was looking forward to helping.

So carney collects money by leasing airports, which corporations collect by charging canadians more to use the airport? He's too shy to just tax us?

Privatizing airports is a terrible deal for travellers, workers, and the public purse. Around the world, it has led to higher travel costs, fewer jobs and worse working conditions.

Right, and the airports he wants to sell is what? Do you understand the difference between investing by building and investing by buying out?

They constantly speak out about gaza and platform voices critical of genocide. If you're just anti using the dem party at all, anti DSA and taking over the party, go enjoy your book club.

Trump is a low bar and Carney is a neoliberal economist that will sacrifice future growth to appease the rich for short term gain. Is that job figure impressive? Do you know what the baseline is?

Graph shows that headline job growth numbers are not abnormal, looking back 10 years of similar job growth numbers, with the covid pandemic as the outlier

So because the liberals blocked the NDP from doing more you want to vote for...? The NDP pushed the Canada Disability Benefit. They are the only viable party that cares, and if you want another one you need PR

KulRacka @kulracka.bsky.social · 15/07/2026
You can't without proportional representation and the NDP are the only ones that can do it. "Prop up" just means they had to to keep the cons out. It also means if in power they would not have to

This makes no sense. You can't use a highly 2010s americanized definition of socialism and then name socialists that are decidedly not that. Mamdani said its extending the ballot box to all corners of life. So coops. Worker ownership.

The soviets had a one party state capitalist system. Socialism should be about tearing down hierarchies of oppression, not building them. Like replacing corporations with worker cooperatives.

Even if evil vanquishes good, so long as one person held onto the goodness in their heart until the end, their resilience to corruption will forever be etched as a moment in time evil failed. Evil can never claim total victory. There will always have been that one beautiful ideal

Really depended on riding. And even seeing presence on the voting numbers can encourage more people to take the party seriously and change the calculation.

The fact you think he is saying rape literally doesn't matter shows me you're incapable of considering the point of view of your opponents. You see what you want to. Whatever is convenient.

You're reading things how you want to. As an objective Hassan critic its very clear to me he was saying the fact of rape does not change his stance on Isreal.

I think diversifying trade was the most obvious idea. And I'm not satisfied with merely surviving Trump. I think neoliberalism cannot save us from decades of decline caused by neoliberalism. I want a leader who looks good even without Trump.

But considering your characterization is "down with rape" i dont think im engaging an honest actor. I dont like Piker but saying the existence of rape does not justify genocide is not condoning rape, and insisting it does makes your side look dishonest.

KulRacka @kulracka.bsky.social · 28/04/2026
It's whataboutism to say an advocacy group can't have a focus, and calling it racist is tired. Fact remains its worse if a candidate might provide material support for genocide than if some dumb streamer helps him win. Im not doing guilt by association, im questioning how they will govern.

This Saikat guy sounds good. Thanks for the info. BTW, track AIPAC does not just count AIPAC donations, but indirect donations as well. It shows who pro-Isreal donors are donating to, which is useful to know whether or not Wiener wants to be associated with them.

The admiration for Carney as competent is just surrendering one's judgement to the dear leader. It doesn't matter how good an economist he is if it's the wrong economics, if it benefits the wrong people. There are different strains of thought in economics so relying on credentials doesn't work.

Punch up as in the working class should band together instead of fighting amongst each other. And it works because they represent working class politics. And are working in an electoral system that marginalizes third parties.

Liberalism creates the conditions of fascism through its inaction and supplication to capital. Doesn't mean we don't vote to save democracy, just that you can very easily be anti-liberal and anti-fascist.

Now that Carney received pushback on his war hawkish statement he amended it. It's either he is talking out both sides of his mouth or is clueless on geopolitics. The Iran strike is not for anyone's safety. There are no nukes. The regime cannot be changed from the sky. The point is to cripple Iran.
