Zanzibar and Mumbai. Actually had to refresh myself on where Zanzibar was 😂

6 - 10 was the stormlight archive. So good. I had tried to read Sanderson before starting with mistborn but it lost me a couple books in stormlight didn't & actually helped me understand the cosmere so I think mistborn is next. Cannot wait for the next stormlight books tho. Sanderson cooked.

Yeah look idk anything about DDLC but imo as long as they were upfront with whatever content warnings they needed to have it should be totally fine to be up there.

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

I slept through it! Twice!

010

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

Even the unremarkable should be documented cause one day it may be gone. So yes.

Okay but now draw Melbournes from memory.

Holy shit. I feel this. Pasting as plain text from excel is a nightmare. Gotta actually right click paste then find the plain text option hidden away in the little menu that I swear moves every single time. Pasting as plain text should be the default IMO 😭

Nice! I'm part way through wind and truth. I struggled a lot at the start bc some of the characters he kept switching to were just not interesting to me yet but now I'm incredibly invested. Which is funny bc I dropped mistborn after book 2.

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

I hate this empty feeling. It makes it SO hard to find the next thing to read/watch/play. Puts me in a real slump. I'm currently reading the stormlight archive and I can feel this coming. Fortunately there's more Cosmere to read which will hopefully help.

Oh man. Pokemon pokopia has come out and I don't have a switch 2 yet. Time for fomo ☹️ At least the new WoW expac has just come out so is keeping me busy 😅

Ughhhh I hate it when book characters annoy me with their very obvious mental health problem that would be greatly helped by just TALKING WITH OTHER CHARACTERS. I did a cheeky google and apparently there is EVENTUALLY an intervention. But until then 🫠

..I really need to re-watch this show Ive forgotten so much. Maybe I finally start from Christopher.

010

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

My partner made the mistake of showing me David Tennants doctor it took me years to watch the other modern doctors bc nothing could immediately stand up to him. I did end up enjoying them immensely tho. Only one I haven't seen from the modern crew is Christopher Eccleston's doctor.

My biggest gripe since switching to Firefox on both desktop and mobile is there's some sites and apps that will NOT log in w/ Firefox but switch to chrome and it's fine. Blizzards battle.net is one of these(but intermittently) and so is my works salary packaging provider. Very annoying.

Yeah that's annoying. I had trouble with it recognising that I do indeed have a face but it eventually accepted it. I do understand people being hesitant to fork over their IDs to these companies.

010

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 09/02/2026

I will be annoyed if the change rolls out and I have to verify again. It was kinda annoying as it didn't wanna recognise that my face was a face LOL.

000

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 09/02/2026

I'm sorry I don't get all the hate and "omg cancelling nitro" over the discord change. Their process is reasonable and you do not need to use government ID for verification just your face & it doesn't even capture your whole face just a portion!!

But it IS nice reading a book that kobo tells me is going to take 15+ hrs to read rather than 6-8 like most books. The rate I read I much prefer books that are longer so Sando definitely hits that mark. I also feel better that I picked the book up for $5 😁

If he continues this throughout the series it might just piss me off enough to not finish it. We will see.

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 05/02/2026

I'm currently reading the first book of the stormlight archive and it's good the world and characters are interesting it's just Sanderson is jumping around between characters a little too much and there's chapters where it suddenly switches between 2 people's pov with no subtext or heading about it.

Some people just need to be bluntly told.

Same. I hate W11 so much at work

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 28/01/2026

Books 2-5 is the ember in ashes series by Sabaa Tahir. I enjoyed them. I found some of the plot points a little predictable figuring them out long before the reveal. The characters were a little weaker compared to the world which was interesting as fuck.

Wait what. That's a thing?? Over hydration can give a migraine??? Fuck I've been obsessively hydrating cause I gave myself one from being dehydrated a couple weeks ago so now to think I can give myself one for the opposite problem...

Feeling the urge to find my copy of Pokemon soul Silver and start a playthrough. I THINK my 3ds is charged. Wish I had a pokewalker tho. But they're like $100

I have nfi what's happening over there and I'm happy about it. I know whatever it is it's depressing and I feel awful for the people living it but I can't change shit so I don't wanna bring myself down with the doom.

I can't recall if the hider has to tell the seeker about duplicating. If not then oh boy the boys will be surprised.

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

Yeah. And judging on this latest season they really need to rebalance their hide and seek bc they really have nailed down a meta and it's too easy now haha.

Ya I was so worried that by the end of the book she would be on her way to being "civilised" but she held her own values all the way through despite everything which was awesome.

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

Ya it's not your typical girl gets dragon becomes badass fighter. I did find it hard to read all the racist conceptions of the Anglish, bc it's very analogous to real life but I think the author is trying to explore these themes as an alternative where the natives "won" & fought out of oppression.

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

Gonna start a book thread for this year. 1. To Shape a Dragon's Breath. I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. It was well written & full of dragons. The main character is indigenous (& the author!) & the racism she experienced was awful but she managed to change peoples perspective of her.

Well that's good. And I'm glad you were able to get past the breakup in a positive way.

110

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

Rookie error. Starting a book without the next one handy and another reason I'm glad I read on an e-reader as if I'm not sure about the series I can very easily purchase book 2 and start immediately. I am terrible at waiting lol.

I get that they're people with families too but it's crazy how they can just go on leave and leave their clients in the lurch during the holiday period when that's one of the most emotional times for a lot of people. Glad yours is finally back.

I'm a water type person myself. Mudkip is the goat. Scarlet violet however was the first time I didn't go water. I picked fire then.

I'm not a fire type person but Fennekins alright. That bear is adorable and such a sweet present.

Oh no there goes all my money and my want for dinner when I get home cause this will probably be up and running come Feb. The one good thing about south Yarra is the complete lack of tempting food nearby.

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 22/12/2025

Ridiculous how expensive it is to travel short distances. They REALLY need to look at redoing the fares to make them fairer.

010

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

The problem is the location of it. I'm pretty sure mines on the bottom of my scooter as there's no stickers elsewhere on it. Not exactly keen on flipping it upside down on a crowded train to view it considering it's 20kg.

Not all serial numbers will be barcodes. I'd argue that serial numbers are just a string of letters and numbers. Can google those. All AO will be walking around with their phone. Or maybe their Myki scanner can connect to a web browser idk.

100

Kulia @kulia.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

I imagine legal ebikes would have a serial number of some sorts that could be looked up for confirmation. Whereas converted ones will not.

I can see the video in my head. The expressions and noises of pure disgust. And hopefully the shocked amazement at the end result.

Not a cancer survivor but I work in cancer as admin and I totally understand when patients decide they're done w/ treatment. It's fucking rough. Its sad yeah but understandable. So hello I'm a rare non cancer survivor who kinda gets it 👋
