If you feel like you just go to work and wait for the weekend, you should get involved with Amtgard. I no longer just go to work to while away the days until the weekend. I now go to work because I have nothing else to do while waiting for Amtgard. I wish I could play it right now.

Downloaded the Matcha Flavored datapack for Minecraft. Got absolutely MOLLYWHOPPED by zombies. And... for the first time in years... I'm excited to play Minecraft! I'm about to make a crop field, and it's going to actually fulfill a purpose.

I've started trudging my way through Metroid on the NES. IT'S BRUTAL. I finally got the Ice Beam and found Kraid. HE'S BRUTAL. Like, nearly impossible to dodge shots AND land hits. Oh, and it's basically impossible to get back on the platform if you fall off. So... NES hard = nigh impossible?

I just finished reading Garth Nix's *The Keys to the Kingdom* again. I first read into them long, long ago, when I was around 13. I read them in earnest somewhere during highschool. And I have now read them again, at 30. @garthnix.bsky.social , you wrote some good books. Many thanks.

I'm at this weird point where I want to play Breath of the Wild again, but there is not a single part of it that I'm looking forward to. So why do I want to play it? I openly dunk on it any time it comes up in conversation.

The coolest duo, Dax and Peeb. Dax is giving a thumbs up "Happy Pride! It is very cool to be yourself!" while Peeb is looking straight at the viewer "bigots belong in a ditch."

I'm having an absolute heck of a time with online stores. Amazon, searching for a chest of drawers deeper than 15 inches front to back. Use the built-in search features to filter. Still getting drawers less than 12 inches. Raise search to 30. Find one where depth was measured side to side...

Beat Metroid Dead for the second time today. It is still an excellent game. As for mechanics, it is still the hardest I've ever played. I'd say some of the bosses rival Dark Souls.

2025 was simultaneously the worst and best year of my life. I've experienced hopelessness, depression, anxiety, frustration beyond belief, I've met who I trust to be my life partner, I've learned a lot about the transgender community, I've been making plans to improve my life this coming year.

If you ever feel like an idiot, just remember, I spent 45 minutes in an attic today trying to figure out why it was so dark even though I had a light. After removing my sunglasses, the issue became very apparent. You may feel like you're an idiot, but at least you're not alone.

The sheer euphoria when two different sentences ending with the same words are the same length by accident... I can't explain it with words, but I love it.

Everything is a WIP, sound effects are placeholders. Working on an arena game mode for a demo, trying to get enemy behaviors right between evasive/aggressive, gonna be adding more nuance to them soon. More playable characters are coming along nicely too.

You know, I think my least favorite thing about myself is my seeming inability to learn from past mistakes. I keep making the same mistakes over and over, and I'd love to stop, but I've spent so much of my life on autopilot that it's hard to steer the wheel.

Shen Comix @shenanigansen.bsky.social · 20/05/2025

The full thing! ( 1/2 )

The text "Shen Comix: Untitled Wolf / Sheep Comic (The Whole Thing)". The word "wolf" is stylized with wolf grey, light grey, and brown, with the "W" having a wolf tail and the "F" being a wolf claw. The word "sheep" look like it's made of wool, with a sheep ear on the "S" and the "P" and two ribbons on the two "E"s (blue, then reddish pink) making them look like small sheep. Also, there is the head of a wolf in a sheep costume in the top left, and the head of a sheep in the top right.

Panel 1: A wolf is in a sheep costume with a yellow ribbon on the neck. He's in a flock of sheep. He's thinking "Hehehe... They don't know I'm really a wolf."

Panel 2: A few of the sheep have approached the wolf. One is touching his 'wool', saying "oh my gosh, your wool is so soft!" Another is touching his ribbon, saying "and your ribbon is so pretty!"

Panel 3: The sheep are pulling him along with them somewhere, saying "c'mon, let's go dance in the meadow!" and "let's dance and graze!" He is smiling and beginning to blush.

Panel 4: Two wolves are sitting at a campfire. One has his head in his hands. The other is saying "It's been 4 days, where the hell is he."

Panel 1: A wolf dressed as a sheep with a yellow ribbon around his neck is dancing in a circle with a bunch of actual sheep, hands joined. They are all laughing merrily.

Panel 2: Closeup of the wolf laughing, having a good time just dancing together.

Panel 3: Still that closeup but he he now tied up in the dark somewhere.

Panel 4: We zoom out to see that he's tied up sitting on a rock in the forest, with two other wolves from his pack standing to either side of him. One is saying "we're definitely gonna have to do some 'de-programming' here."

Panel 5: The other wolf puts his head on the sheep-wolf's head and says "don't worry, buddy! We'll get you back to your regular wolf self in no time."

Panel 6: All three of them are now dressed as sheep and dancing in the circle.

Panel 1: A sheep is standing with a blank expression holding a hoof-glove in one of his hooves.

Panel 2: It's revealed that he took it off of a wolf in a sheep costume with a yellow ribbon. Maybe he tried to take the wolf by the hand and the glove game off, revealing his wolf claw, which is now outstretched towards him.

Panel 3: The sheep has an expression of absolute horror looking at the wolf. He says "you ... y-your ..."

Panel 4: The sheep, still with a horrified expression, looks down at the hoof and yells "YOUR HOOF FELL OFF!!!!"

Panel 5: Two sheep are carrying the wolf on a stretcher and one is running alongside with the hoof glove. The wolf is holding his claw up vertically like it's a broken hand.

I met a girl recently. We started really crushing on each other about two weeks ago. Today, she allowed me to call myself her boyfriend. I don't know how to express these emotions, but I am the second-happiest guy on Earth. I envy the man who gets to marry her ( may be me! 😉).
