Actually the biggest lesson from the Schmitt debacle is that Republicans have so internalized and learned to justify Trump’s corruption and disdain for ethics, they assume everyone is corrupt and stupid. They cannot imagine an honest public servant.

The case at Cornell is the kind of higher ed issue in which the DOJ or DOE *should* open a Title IX investigation. In a normal world that’s whst would happen. Instead, we are in the upside down world where you won’t hear a peep from this administration

Russia has one enormous strategic advantage of which it is taking advantage. It can daily attack civilian targets--hospitals, universities, markets--knowing that while Ukraine can do the same, the Ukrainians are too humane to do so.

We destroyed Irans military then had to go back to fighting the non existent military but had to stop because we were using too many expensive missiles attacking the not-military because we weren’t flying over the country with no military because their non military was still a threat to our planes.
