Absolutely LOVED the blue version of these cases. Had a thing for the green one too, but the blue really was *chefs kiss*. Absolute mess back then circa summer of 2003. It was my Socket 478 P4 build with an Abit IT7 motherboard.

Photo from August 2003. Shows a corner hutch desk, rats nest of cables, tech about messily, a PS2 and Dreamcast, blue Chieftech Dragon case, beige Power Mac G3, numerous keyboards and other input devices.

The Exorcist III for me. I really don't know what this means, but I have a feeling I'm not going to like it.

Finally started the process of repurposing my wife's old desktop case (HP 45L). Gutted the og mobo & cooling rad (HP w/ their use of AMD motherboards with Intel LGA cooling mounts🤦🏻‍♀️), otherwise everything else is in tact. New: - Taichi X370 - Ryzen 7 5800X - 64GB DDR4 - Radeon 5700XT - 2x 1TB NVMe

Photo of an HP Omen 45L case laying on a desk, with the glass side panel off, showing the components listed being installed. All of the cables are disconnected and it shows the build is still progressing.

The Blood Moon rises once again. Well, Blood Sun. Still… (From my sister, this morning at like 6:10. We're back into forest fire season once again.) #Maryland #Fires

I guess it's time to finally play #Oblivion. After the rumors started circulating about the Remaster, I stopped my play through last year that I was only an hour or two into.

Do it! It is truly an epic. It took me a bit to get into, unlike my friends who were gobbling them up in high school (I was obsessed with Sword of Truth at the time) I only keep physical copies of truly meaningful books; I truly love these books and they have forever changed me.

Photo of 3 shelves of a bookshelf, containing:
- the complete set of Terry Goodkind's fantasy epic Sword of Truth, The Children of D'Hara, and The Nicci Chronicles
- a handful of D&D novels from R.A. Salvatore and Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman
- numerous D&D, AD&D, D&D 3rd and 4th Edition handbooks
- the complete set of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

Weird that you aren't seeing them. I see it on iPhone as well as iPad (the previous screenshot was from the iPad app running on macOS). If you're using the Android version, maybe you have to scroll? I haven't used an Android tablet since my Nexus 7 (2013) tablet, so maybe?

I’ll just toss this out there… if Watership Down is still on reading lists… in 9th grade English and then having to watching the stupid animated movie… that story triggered an absolute fear of rabbits (and less so, all buck-toothed rodents) that I still live with today. My BIL even found this:

A screenshot from Watership Down, an animated film from 1978, with the text:

In 1978, One Deranged Animated Movie Traumatized a Generation

"Watership Down' was controversial when it first came out. But how do we feel about it now?

The problem in the Mid-Atlantic is that it was 62℉ yesterday, dropped to 18℉ (0℉ with the 40 mph wind chill), and now it's a high 36℉ right now. I truly hate this bipolaral weather time of year. But now I hate summers more: 100℉ temps, with 80%+ humidity.

Every single month, CVS triggers unnecessary anxiety. You’d think after 4.5 years that this pharmacy would know that they have a client who uses this medication. I’ve even brought it up with the pharmacist, but alas, small town life. I’ve got 1 pill left, so I swear it better come in tomorrow.

Screenshot from CVS app showing that the medication is Out of Stock. It has been ordered and is slated to be ready for pickup tomorrow after 18:00.

Mastodon filters working as intended. I'm already at panic attack levels as it is, so filters go back on. I've been informed enough. I like the filter groups on Masto; I can turn them on when I want to get informed and off when I've had enough for one day. Maybe @bsky.app could do the same one day.

‘Dark Kingdom’ has always been a favorite of mine. It was inspiration for a barbarian (fighter kit) in an AD&D 2e campaign as a kid.

Works lovely on an M1! I'm running on both an MBA M1 and a Mac mini M1… it's honestly incredible. Even with half of the CPU cores and RAM assigned to the VM in UTM using the Apple hypervisor (which is the recommended hypervisor vs QEMU).

Considering this lived a life in my high school's tech/media lab for many years before I was gifted it when I graduated in 1998, this is immaculate! Also, why did they have to solder the RF shield on the expansion?!

Finally was able to get my #Amiga 500 out of it's bin in storage. Needed to check to see if there was any leaking. Thankfully not, and it's the first time the machine has been opened (broke the void warranty sticker on it). Apparently it's a Rev 6A.

Me: Man, I wish my Xbox 360 still worked. I’d love to see what modding this thing wits be like and PowerPC FTW! But this thing red ringed years ago and it’s just been sitting on the donation pile for years. Also me: let’s just try it one more time for nostalgia sake. Also me: HOLY CRAP IT BOOTED!

Q: Is OpenCL performance under Asahi Linux comparable to macOS?

A: Comparing the "native" macOS Geekbench 6 OpenCL score with the Honeykrisp Vulkan driver score on Asahi, we currently reach about 40% of the hardware's potential. This is a promising result for an initial driver release, although there is significant room for improvement. The Asahi development team prioritizes correctness and completeness over speed, which will come into focus as the driver matures over time.

Perfect way to ring in the New Year! Played Sky: Children of Light for the first time, with Wifey to boot! This game is pretty neat, and I definitely like the co-op aspect. The cross-platform friend and following can be a PITA, but once you know where it is, it’s no problem. #GameWithYourPartner

Primarily Windows 98 SE, but my computer was triple booted with RedHat Rawhide (RH6 or 7 branches IIRC?) and BeOS 5 Pro. Screenshot is from 2000, but my desktop generally looked like this in that era - lots of chats and lots of Reflection X windows for the RedHat and HP-UX machines I worked with.
