Writing Tip: Consider keeping a small blank piece of paper near your computer and keep track of how many words you write at that date/time. This isn't necessarily to track your wordcount, but to see at what days and times you're more productive. That's useful info. #writing #writingtips #writesky

Obviously I didn’t read the product description so my tote bag became quite a mini on delivery day. #bookbag #bookworm #poet No regrets, just laughs! What’s something you bought that turned out to be a bit small when you got it?
Picture of what seems to be a normal sized tote bag comparable to the New Yorker tote. Picture of the New Yorker tote bag next to my purchase which is 3x smaller than anticipated

Soon I'll be sitting outside to read again. November air may be too crisp for crop tops and short shorts but the sun will feel softer, less grating heat. Just perfect from sunrise till brunch. What are you reading? #booksky #currentlyreading #poetry

There’s no such thing as soft feminine or traditional feminine. Only coming-of-age, womanhood and feminine rage. The last one, you shouldn’t have to act on but if the times call for it…

No complaints, this poem is not for the younger generations, but I wasn’t expecting my reel with this exact poem would reach more lit-elitist teenagers than grownup poetry lovers. So of course the kids hate it but it’s really for their freaky moms and dads and uncs and aunties. #poetry

It Will Rain Tonight - a poem of wishful thinking with the temperature at 43°C in April 2024 #poetry #poets #poems 🇵🇭
A poem called “It Will Rain”

In the summer of April 1st 2024,
I know it will rain. When. If. When.
When air touches my skin like a tiny breath of ice.
Enter the breeze. We don’t say please. We open wide.
Blow. The curtain taps me on the shoulder.
Is the sun asking for too much? I want to hide.
I’m no weather poet. I am a writer of hidden pond dreams.
I took off all my other hats
and more. I slipped out of my daily ghost wandering.
I am a woman soaking. Book. Bath.
At night I hear the pounded cat.
We sound exactly like that.

WRITERS, REMEMBER! If you manage to write any of your manuscript, you should be proud. Yes, it can be frustrating when you've only written ten words and no more, but there are 365 days in a year. 10x365=3,650 words. That's a short story. That's a chapter. You got this. #writing #writers
