The sun rises on a new year. Let’s choose light over darkness, hope over fear, love over hate. Happy new year 2025.

How tragic! If this lady is right about the future for Syria, it means that many refugees in Europe can never return. That's why we must do everything we can to give them a safe and good life, so they can build a new future here. #WesternLeadersMustAct #TakeResponsibility

New Dutch research shows the dangers of increasingly heavier cars for pedestrians and cyclists: a collision with a heavy car (> 1,500 kg) leads to a fatal outcome for cyclists or pedestrians 20 percent more often than on average. www.rtl.nl/nieuws/onder...

Infographic showing that the best-selling new car in 2024 (Tesla Model Y) was more than 800 kilos heavier than the best-selling new car in 2007 (Peugeot 207) and more than 1,000 kilos heavier than the best-selling car in 1990 (Opel Kadett E).

Today was written down as Fergus' birthday in his shelter paperwork, and even though I think it was an approximate guess that someone made up at some point we still celebrate it in addition to his adoption anniversary because why wouldn't we? He's my sweetest, calmest, gentlest giant babyman. 💕

photo of my large brown tuxedo tabby Fergus, radiant in the glow of white Christmas lights. Behind are more lights, blurry red ones on the tree.

Cats hate Christmas. This is because of their heathen ways and their general dislike of merriment. It's yet another reason not to have them anywhere in your house, except on your dinner table.

A cat pretending to look sad about the chaos it has caused. Behind it is a downed Christmas tree, destroyed before its time. This could be a scene in YOUR home.
