When I was 4, there was a board game called (I think) Skull Island, and its commercial featured a scary, realistic skull zooming in from a dark background. I was terrified of skeletons for years after that and they featured in my worst nightmares.

If they pass this, it's likely northern states will opt out of DST the way Arizona does.

I get that some people want year-round DST. Tellingly, it's the northern blue cities (Boston, NYC, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle) that are most against the idea (9:30am sunrises in December)! & northern farmers don't need extra daylight in winter!

I volunteered in a city animal shelter and fell for a sweet lab mix that I took home only to learn that she wanted to murder every cat (including mine). I felt SO GUILTY for having to return her, given how many snide remarks we vols made about other adopters who brought back their dogs.
