So cool to see, congrats! I have so many fond feelings for Spry Fox. 10 years ago I emailed to say how much I loved Triple Town and how much it meant to me and a friend who had recently passed. David shared some really kind words. I still come back to Triple Town & I can't wait for Spirit Crossing.

I actually found out about it from a Japanese site even, I know they worked with Kagawa Prefecture at the start. I want them to get to Shiga prefecture 🥺 That's where I lived.

Ofc!!! I really have not stopped raving about it. Sadly my partner can pretty much now read kanji better than me because I was never good at kanji 😂😂😂 Also it has cross platform cloud saves!! So you can use on PC or mobile and keep progress. 🔥🔥

Most interactions are completely in Japanese, and it ramps you up and you get a lot of repetition in different contexts. I know at this point it seems like I'd be associated with the game, but I just think more people should know about it!

I don't really know my JLPT level, but I have interned and lived / studied in Japan. I can navigate and am confident in holding conversations, etc. I do find the writing kanji bit a little lacking, but it's an extemely competent learning tool, basically how my classes were structured over there.

I recommend Wagotabi highly, it's an rpg where you are prompted to respond to things correctly. It's not just multiple choice and they are working their way up through JLPT levels as long as it's successful. :)

I mean when you use contractors to maintain a significant portion of your workforce, then you can lay them off without them being technically employees and then no one online gets mad at you. So... yeah Nintendo NA still lays people off, yall just do not hear about it.

Okay, friends! It's time for my post-ECCC thoughts. While I did well this year, I can confidently say that this was my least profitable post-pandemic ECCC. I think a few factors were involved. I'll do my best to explain from my perspective and what I heard around Artist Alley.

Another Kansai rec is Byodoin temple. It's the temple on the back of the 10-yen coin and really pretty in fall. It's not a "must see" but there are SO many places in Kyoto you can go that are outside the crowds. Gioji is another great one for early or late fall. So mossy!

Krashly is Mr. Mikan @krashly.bsky.social · 05/03/2025

Also, get a suica card omg. Don't get a rail pass unless you are taking shinkansen constantly it's not worth it anymore. Suica you can put money on and just go and even works at stores and vending often. I generally love to be outside of the city where things are a bit slower paced.

Krashly is Mr. Mikan @krashly.bsky.social · 05/03/2025

I'll always give a big rec to Shiga Prefecture. Hikone has one of the only castles in Japan that wasn't destroyed at that time period. Hikonyan is also cute and very popular. Also in Shiga, Omihachiman! Less crowds than bigger spots in Kansai but lots of history.

2 more cat deaths linked to Wild Coast raw, this time in Washington. Again, if you're in the PNW call your local pet food stores in case they carry this! It's not safe and wild Coast has still acted like their food is safe! Another person privately confided their cat died eating the same food.

Also I hope the food transition is going well, my cat is (respectively) an awful little creature when it comes to her food and several times I've had to buy one of like 15 options and lay all of them out for her to choose. Between GI issues and preferences, it can be a real struggle 🫶❤️

Krashly is Mr. Mikan @krashly.bsky.social · 22/02/2025

In a way, I think the cancer maybe saved her life. I don't think we would have switched otherwise, and I'd been pretty absent online recently. I read about your beloved cats and wept for you all and wept again seeing two come home. Thank you for speaking on it despite how painful it must be.

Krashly is Mr. Mikan @krashly.bsky.social · 22/02/2025

My cat's health and coat saw huge benefits from her raw diet. She is over 13 years old and has as much energy as when she was 2 and I credit so much to the years she was on raw. I made the decision to switch because of chemo treatment / her immune system. I'm so sorry for all of this.

110

Krashly is Mr. Mikan @krashly.bsky.social · 22/02/2025

Up until my cat got cancer (remission 2 years!) she was so picky and would rather starve (literally!!) than eat anything but raw chicken. I bought Wild Coast following a different brand shuttering for years. Seeing this all unfold was so horrifying and it's cruel that people behave that way
