🗓️ Week 4 of unemployment. 👉 Two follow up interviews with a company that I’ve ALWAYS heard good things from. Even have a friend or two that have or still do work there. You know who you are. 🚨 If you’re hiring for a Senior Developer Advocate or know of someone let me know. #DetroitHustlesHarder

It’s action time! Fire up the @resist.bot and call your critters, they’re planning to gut Medicaid today to fund their tax cuts.

"Reading generated code is much better than reding junior dev code". Saw this comment, slightly paraphrased, on the new Claude Code video. I'm noticing this sentiment more lately and it's incredibly dismissive of how horrible we all were when we first started. We need Jr devs to grow into Seniors!

BREAKING: Mexican President Sheinbaum argues that if cartels are deemed terrorist orgs, then the suppliers of weapons—over 74% of which come FROM the U.S.—should ALSO face accountability for enabling terrorism. As a result, Mexico is expanding its lawsuit targeting U.S gun manufacturers. 🇲🇽

You know how everyday there's another "shocking" news or rule? This is what human DDoS looks like. Our systems are overwhelmed and primed for the ultimate hack. So much energy spent trying to filter out info that we fail to notice when malware is implanted and RCE is imminent. #humanhacking

You ever over complicate a solution just because you were in another problem space so your brain immediately goes to that as a solution when it should be dead simple? Just me? Cool 🫠

Realized that I've been wanting to work on personal projects, but never realizing what to actually work on... Might need to break out old faithful and do something Warcraft related 😅

DID YOU KNOW that you can get a well reviewed stun gun on Amazon (or wherever) for <$30 and/or a high-powered pepper spray device with UV tracking dye for about $10 apiece - and furthermore, did you know that holidays are approaching and that these things fit inside stockings for women of all ages

The quick "install this tool" for stuff like logging and telemetry in the coolify dashboard is what absolutely sold it for me.

I've been thinking about either starting my code streams back up again or possibly doing videos. Only thing stopping me is not knowing what exactly to make the focus.

It's more or less our PR template if that's appropriate for that particular mistake. We've stated adopting a docs repo / folder for more architectural decisions over the past month or so. Still super early days but that definitely helps with context on at least the WHY of a decision.

This is actually really difficult. We tend to either update our templates or add those types of things to tests if at all possible. Not exactly what you're looking for, but being such a small team it's definitely stuff we keep in mind for PR comments. Curious on the other answers!

It was because of parent life paired with meetups essentially not existing. Now that the scene is starting to build back up it's just finding a day that I can actually attend.

Svelte just seems... simpler. If I go down this path on a personal project I have a feeling I'm going to loathe working in Next on the daily 😅

To my USA friends: Ignore what the news says, vote early if you can, ignore the rhetoric of not worrying about voting. Get out and vote. Every single vote does indeed matter. In local elections the numbers have been so very close. Please vote.

Being the person keeping everything alive and running while a major migration is going on is exhausting. I'm learning a lot about edge cases, but man am I tired 😩

Honestly I'm the most hyped for the react compiler. I have a feeling we have way too many instances of useMemo and useEffect.

Hyped that Next.js 15 is "production ready", but I know damn well that migration isn't going to happen for my team for at least 3-6 months 😅
