Thank you so much to everyone who came to the exhibition in Aachen this weekend. I was really happy to see you all! In a year, there'll be another exhibition in Eupen, and I'm already looking forward to it. So save the date: 1–3 October 2027. More info coming soon :)

A black-and-white ink illustration showing a window with a windowsill. Beyond the window is outer space. An astronaut sits outside in the universe, leaning against the windowsill and reading a book. A cup of hot coffee rests on the windowsill, with steam rising into space and blending with the surrounding cosmic void like mist.

It’s Friday #inkfriday

A black and white ink drawing on A4 paper featuring an astronaut floating in space. The composition is divided vertically: the left side is a solid, inverted black void with tiny white stars, while the right side is white with vertical lines, dots, and splatters. The astronaut is positioned at the boundary between these two areas, with their body partly in the black space and their left arm reaching out into the white space, appearing to cross the edge of the dark block. The space behind the astronaut appears to be inverted.

complex

TED: A cat? Being cute is my job here. Hello! … she won't even say hi.
Eli: Relax — she's mine. She just needs time to get used to things.
Cat: oh, I love this planet already.
Cat: But I won't show it. I have a complex, mysterious personality.
Eli: She loves this planet already, but she'll never show it, because she has a complex, mysterious personality.
TED: We have so much in common!
CAT: Great

Pip: Don’t you have anything more important to do? Police work or whatever?

Thoughts

A four-panel comic showing Arthur sitting with Ted, a small flying robot, on a quiet planet.

Arthur: “Sometimes this boring planet really gets me thinking.”

Ted: “That’s nice. Boredom often leads humans to their most interesting thoughts.”

Ted: “I’d love to hear some of your deeper thoughts, but I suppose that might be a little too personal.”

Arthur: “I’m thinking about burrata and what I’d do for some right now.”

Ted: “Not sure I can relate.”

Arthur: “I don’t really have any news. It’s still the most boring planet in the universe.”
Panel 2: Contact: “Okay, this is what things look like on Earth: heat waves, storms, deaths, war, crime, politics, anxiety about the future, energy crisis, abuse of power…”
Panel 3: Arthur: “That was wonderful. I’m really enjoying this exchange. It’s basically a win-win situation. I get information that makes me happy to be up here, and you…”
Contact: “Oh, shut up.”
Panel 4: Ted: “That was a great start.”

Arthur: TD-5200?
Ted: Psst. I’m meditating.
Arthur: But I…
Ted: WTF. You’re interrupting my meditation, you [censored].
Arthur to Pip: Without meditation, his true self comes out. I was just going to ask if we could call him Ted instead of TD-5200.
Ted:[Censored]! I can still hear you, ignorant [censored]! Damn it.
But Ted is nice. Reminds me of Ted Lasso, who’s a pretty laid-back guy, too.

Panel 3:
Pip "On the other hand, I've never seen you do any real police work, and the case of the stolen pencil might be a bit too much for you." Then Pip leans in and says seriously: "You're the Space Cop here. If anyone's going to figure it out, it's you."
