Today in “pretending I know how to do things”. I ordered a set of portafilter handles from a dude in Turkey and now I’m finishing them myself. I know nothing about wood working. Thankfully I have friends that do.

In prep for Paxil coming I’ve setup a crate. These Tapo cameras are $18 and work great. I’ve disabled internet access for them cuz I’m not crazy. They plug into the Unifi ecosystem too. Next up is a camera for the play pen.

Driving in Ireland is a wild experience. Never mind the fact you have to drive on the left. Even without that it would be wild. The roads are extremely narrow, what would be a one lane road in the us is two lanes in opposite direction. People park in the road and you just drive around their cars.

I made my son a brass coin. The laser etched it out of a brass blank. Then I ran it through a magnetic polisher and aged it with “Brass Black”. He loved it. Now he wants to make other coins.

Pro tip: when branding wood, it’s much better to get the wood wet first. It results in a crisper brand. Also don’t leave the brand on the wood too long or press down too hard. Not necessary.

In awe at the amazing professionals at Children’s Hospital. On Friday our son’s pediatrician sent an xray to their ortho team. By that evening he was admitted and on Saturday he had surgery for SCFE. Everyone at the hospital was amazing and the boy is set for a full recovery.

Lexapro is the most aggressive cuddler ever. I’ve never experienced a dog that will force herself into physical contact the way she does. She had just met the person in this photo before leaning in to them.
