STOP THE MF'ing PRESSES! Shimamura/Avail is selling Disney themed "character design tail charms" in their online store starting Tuesday. *!@#% PLEASE! These are fursuit tails and y'all know it! ¥3,850 each is a crazy good price. I don't need them, but I want Lucifer, Cheshire, & Nick so bad!

I brought my wolfy boy all the way to see Mt. Fuji, but the clouds had other ideas. 🥲 At least they had some cool Pokemon art.

I've never had any connection to a tweet that's blown up, but I think this one my suit maker made last night certainly qualifies. I had no idea there was so much interest in fluffy, huggable tails.

Korphyn @korphyn.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I really can not convey how excited I am to see the updates from the maker working on the suit for my variant fursona. This image (and others) dropped while I was at work tonight and it was all I could do not to run around and show everybody.

Super clear skies after yesterday's typhoon. I can actually see all the way to Mt. Fuji this morning.

Good bit of #JMoF2027 info for anybody who was able to snag a Captain level attendance. For the Flight of Dreams special event, you can bring a guest with a fursuit, and they can use the Flight Park changing space. They can not use the Captain changing room at Sky Expo.

Looking through the current Mont Bell magazine, Outward (Fall 2026 No. 112), and I see this sleeping bag, but it's only recommended for heights up to 155cm. Seriously?!? webshop.montbell.jp/goods/disp.p...

#JMoF2027 registration complete! Got the tier I wanted, and also a ticket for the Dead Dog Part. Third JMoF for me, but this'll be the first time I go to the DDP.

My 22 hour return trip home is now a 31+ hour slog, thanks to a malfunction during pushback on the first flight. I'll still get home on the same date, just much later. At least I've got a good way to entertain myself during layovers. (Yes, more than one of those now...)

My physical form is developing further! I now have a foot paw. Soon there will be two, and before long I will be whole. I can't wait to venture into the world!

I went back to Spirit Halloween and was able to snag the matching feet paws for the pieces I got last week. The full set was just under US$160 before tax. Not a bad deal for anybody with a tight budget, or looking to customize and/or refurb some of the pieces.

I'm in the US for a visit, so I decided to check out the fursuit stuff at Spirit Halloween. For putting together a basic partial, it's really not a bad deal. I picked up a head, paws, and tail for $160 to have something to mess around in when taking a break from full-suiting.

I saw this sign in Family Mart yesterday, suggesting combining their fried chicken (Famichiki) and pancakes (with maple syrup and margarine). I gave it a shot this morning and liked it! Very "chicken & waffles" kind of vibe to it. Not an everyday snack, but worth trying at least once.

The sponsor bag from #ケモフェス2026 #KemoFest2026 was really nice! Tote bag, t-shirt, towel, con book, wrist band, pin badge, and lanyard - all really well made. (The sticker I bought as an extra goody.) Happy to support and looking forward to next year!

411 people turned out for the second year of Tokyo Kemono Festival - double from last year! I really love this mini con. It's a one day event only an hour's drive for me, and the ratio of fursuiters to attendees is through the roof. I really hope this one keeps going for years to come!

Easy drive to Tokyo Kemono Festival this morning and plenty of available parking. Still time to wait until registration and the changing rooms open. Digging the posters they have up for other cons. (JMoF is the only one of these four I'll make it to.)

I know buying fursuit stuff on amazon is always a gamble, but I needed something better for leg padding in my gryphon suit and decided to give this a shot. Digi leg padding (polyfill not included) where you can choose how much stuffing to add. www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6GZDC4G

This year is the 20th anniversary of Kon Satoshi's "Paprika." They're doing a short theatrical run of a new 4K remaster, and I went to see it tonight. Having only ever seen it on TV, it was a pretty special experience.

New badge all ready for Tokyo Kemono Festival! Pimoroni Badgeware Tufty 2350. I used a Tufty 2040 at JMoF this year, but the 2350 version is a huge upgrade. Built-in battery, USB-C charging, and a protected screen.

Tokyo Kemono Festival - kemofest.tokyo/en/top - is this weekend! This is going to be the second year for this event, and I'm excited for it. It looks like they've secured the entire venue this time around, so things should feel more spread out. Also good, because attendance looks higher this time.

I finished all the edits to my current story, and it's up over on SoFurry - sofurry.com/s/nJEwLJkm It's my first entirely new piece of writing in about four years, and it's the first follow-up to my last story "Give Us a Twirl." Mature subject matter, but not outright purry forn.

Tried a new burger place near Shin-Yurigaoka yesterday. Neat location, an old service station that's been converted into a little restaurant plaza. Shop was cozy and burgers were tasty. Definitely worth the trip!

I've been having fun writing my current series of stories that are set in/near Seattle. I haven't lived (or visited) there in a really long time, so it's been interesting using google maps to make sure I've got things like locations and travel times pretty close to the current state of the area.

2 night. 19 pages. Over 9,000 words. I haven't written this much in a long time, and I'm not sure I ever wrote at this kind of a pace before. Clearly, spending some time outlining the story and doing a good bit of world-building pays off when it's time to put words on the page.

Korphyn @korphyn.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

It's out there! The reworked, updated version of a story I wrote a few years ago has been posted on sofurry.com. I'm leaving the original up in my gallery, but I'd suggest skipping it and reading this instead. sofurry.com/u/korphyn/ga... The first sequel is nearly done, and will be going up soon.

The story I'm working on is still going strong. Over 12,000 words now and 25 pages long. I think it's starting to wind down, but my characters keep getting up to things I didn't expect, so I've got to just follow along and let them do it.

After an exceptionally long break, I started writing again this week. There’s a story I wrote a while back that was a decent one-off, but the characters kept resurfacing in my mind. I was wondering what they migtht be getting up to, and instead of one more story, I came up with three!

The Steam Controller went on sale at 2:00 AM Japan time today. I’d thought about getting up to order one, but didn’t since I had to get up early. Woke up for work 3 hours after launch and the Komodo site was getting hammered. 15 minutes and many errors later, I got my order in before they sold out.

I’m finding that streaming really helps me keep focused on something at home. It’s too easy to hop from feed to feed, game to game, timewaster to timewaster, etc. Getting on stream and going with the flow of a game is a super-easy way to lock in, even if nobody’s watching.

Korphyn @korphyn.bsky.social · 03/05/2026

Raccandi's adventure continues! More of a proper stream this time, at least according to length. While her days weren't quite as action-packed as in previous episodes, they were quire productive. Come see what she's getting up to in Valheim. www.youtube.com/live/L3xT4iD...

I didn't post a thumbnail or link for my 3rd stream, because I messed up somehow and the last hour+ has no voice, just game audio. This one worked better, and was shorter (a little over 20 minutes) just to make sure everything was working properly. youtube.com/live/U8aK2gS...

Sorting through boxes of old stuff today and I found a DVD I burned in 2005. On it was a folder called "Art & Such." Said folder contains nearly 1.2 gigs of furry art from the early 90s to the early 00s, most of it sorted by artist, many of whose names I'd forgotten.
