Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 22/04/2025The idea behind Rorschach is so fascinating. A man that represents a test, a test about how humanity imposes the crisis of their own lives. How we create our own meaning, and our own suffering. A man that sees via the black and white, and only by the darkness inside of society. 051
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 20/04/2025Rorschach is so broke that everytime he breaks into someone's house he eats their food. Funny as hell 040
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 12/04/2025It's such a huge flex to have a mural of several characters you literally created throughout the years. This gotta be one of my lifelong dreams, it's so cool 030
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 07/04/2025Just bought Last Ronin: the lost years because it was on a sale. Please, if you've read the original, read this book because it's way better (I gotta admit the turtles look really rough but the story makes it worth it) 040
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 06/04/2025I really dig the heavy monologues that Marcus has in the book. Reminds me of Brubaker's writing style in Kill or Be Killed 020
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 19/03/2025I'm very hopeful for the future of Absolute Batman. Finally feel like the narrative is starting to pick up 040
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 16/03/2025"The King in Black may devour my light yet...but he will choke on it." 020
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/03/2025Like, is there really a point to this? Why do we need relationship drama every 5 issues instead of trying to write plots with other dynamics. Even if it actually has a purpose to the narrative it becomes so repetitive it gets annoying. Love gets trivialized in the X-men 010
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/03/2025One of my biggest complaints with the X-men once again proves to be true. It's insane how many times they hook up with each other in the same run and for practically sexual instinct alone. This is the third guy Braddock kisses and Logan's second woman in the same run 💀 121
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/03/2025This is the definitive TMNT trio. My poor son will always be the loner 020
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 14/03/2025It hurts to think that if the previous Venom run actually did cool stuff with his comic status quo we could've gotten Eddie in Imperial 💔 020
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 10/03/2025I don't know why, but Chris Bachalo, James Harren, and DWJ all give off similar vibes to me even though their artstyles are significantly different. Love these guys 061
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 06/03/2025Someone on tik tok did a video talking about batman's most important people to his life 010
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 02/03/2025"What would you give for your art, David?" "I'd give my life." 020
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 28/02/2025#TMNT 7 Is so good man I'm starting to love this run 2131
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 26/02/2025What is a life changing comic book? One that changes you forever to the point were you're not the same person you were before you read it? 340
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 22/02/2025Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman Batman Or Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo Venom 240
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 21/02/2025To me this is a sign that what Ed has been saying ever since before MK1's reveal could be more than a fantasy. We might be closer than ever to this game 140
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 17/02/2025I lowkey judge my first impression of Indie superheroes based on their character design. If the characters (especially the mc) looks extremely unappealing or just a boring knock-off of a previous character, there's a high chance I won't read the book 140
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 16/02/2025I like how, immediately after Denji chooses to be once again ignorant through the decision of avoiding his emotions, he's rewarded by losing the only family he had left and was ready to abandon 030
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20251. Vagabond Along with Cerebus this is the most gorgeous black and white comic I have ever read. Vagabond is a study about the human condition and a lesson about, not only what it takes, but also what it *means* to become "Invincible Under The Heavens". A true magnum opus 040
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20252. Venom By Donny Cates What got me into comics in the first place. A deep character study about my favorite character that paid off all of the years of his self-destructive addiction with a powerful narrative about Redemption and finding Triumph amidst one's own darkness. 131
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20253. Mirage TMNT The Mirage turtles interlinked themes about humanity, environmentalism, and the cycle of violence throughout their universe. Their stories and destiny are very bittersweet, as the turtle's have to keep surviving in an unforgiving and doomed world. 120
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20254.Daytripper A book that explores the mortality of an individual and the choices that they create. It follows different life path's one may interact with, and how important it is for us to keep loving and dreaming throughout this process. 120
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20255. Maus One of the most iconic graphic novels ever made. Maus is touching because of how Spiegelman was able to ground us on the events of WW2 through his father. It's not only tragic but also unfortunate, considering who Vlad came to be after that period. 120
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20256. Buzzkill Buzzkill encapsulates the most bitter aspects about addiction. It is a story about what leads to one's self-destruction, and the impacts of family for one's development. Francis didn't win his battle in the end, and that decision felt very bold and impactful to me. 120
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20257. Once and Future The usage of Arthurian Mythology to convey a narrative about the telling and retelling of stories made Once and Future very compelling. The art by Dan Mora is also breathtaking, definitely my favorite work of his. 120
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20258. The maxx A really dense story that talks about heavy subjects such as abuse, assault, and the desperation for escapism. It's really unique with it's vision and "worldbuilding" regarding the Outback, and parts of it has stuck with me since. 120
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/20259. Do A Powerbomb The best action comic I have EVER read. Nothing comes close to the fluidity and dynamism behind DWJ's art in Do a Powerbomb, and I really enjoyed how he also explored the father and daughter dynamic with Lona and her dad. 121
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/202510. DnA GOTG A fantastic cosmic story. It was what made me truly appreciate cosmic Marvel, and I adore all the character dynamics in it. It's very funny, full of heart, and also really bittersweet about what it means to become a protector of something as big as the galaxy. 121
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 15/02/202511. God Country A powerful tale about what it means to build a legacy and the desire of one to survive through their stories. I found its concept of heritage profound, as a father and a king battle for the same desire to escape time, but with completely different intentions. 130
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 14/02/2025it's kinda crazy that Iron Man is probably the 4th character I own the most merch of, I've literally not read more than 10 Iron Man comics still 💀 130
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 09/02/2025It's crazy that, no matter how stacked a week is, we will always pick Transformers over the rest 180
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 05/02/2025I'm starting a Batman collection without having read any Batman yet LMFAO. I bought these three books 140
Knight @kombatknight.bsky.social · 01/02/2025My app is still corrupted and I have no idea why lol 110
