A flying buzzard seen from the side, it’s head is a tilted a tiny bit as if it’s glancing at the camera, the beak is chubby, fairly small and light yellow, the wing is lifted showing off a brown spotted inside, a broad white streak and then the dark border of the wing, the base of the tail is light but the tail is dark, the sky behind is a very bright blue.

Kollar på trailers till Stockholms filmfestival nu. Helt fast i dokumentär-sektionen. 🍿👀 Lite besviken på att det inte finns något om fåglar. ”Birds of War” handlar tydligen inte alls om fåglar. Typiskt. Men det finns en film om isbjörnar i alla fall. Någon mer som ska gå? Vad har ni spanat in?

Just read an article and after half the text the font got gradually harder to read. At first I blamed my eyes. Is my eyesight really so bad that everything is slightly blurry now? Then I zoomed in. Wtf?

Met a group of six long-tailed tits two days ago when the sun was out. I always hear them before I see them. And their sound, the tsirr tsirr, makes me smile.

A small white fluffy bird with a very long dark tail, a small black beak and a dark peppercorn eye is perched on a naked branch, the sky in the background is very blue.

@Karolina SL kör någon kampanj mot bland annat det här just nu. När jag var på T-centralen häromdagen så var det utrop i högtalarna om att inte spela saker högt på tågen. Sedan får vi väl se om det gör någon skillnad. sl.se/artikel/omtanke

My best guess are crossbills. But neither parrot crossbill nor red crossbill got white on their wings. So then two-barred? I’ve never encountered two-barred though. They are very rare. Feels unlikely?

@Gregori White-winged dove would be a sensation in a Swedish forest. 😅 Yea, it’s not a dove. Quite certain. Although I would have thought that too only seeing the images. But the sound doesn’t match any of our doves. And only wood pigeon got whites on their wings like that and they are huge.

Help, I have a bird mystery! While I was out in the forest today I suddenly heard some birds flying over me. I think they were 4 in total, not flying very close to each other but clearly flying together. I did record their sound but it’s not the best recording. Any guesses?
