Blender has 2700 operators. I made a jev search, so that you can quickly find them by searching with natural language. #jev #blender

A scene that I wanted to see for the longest time: Putting a tomographic dataset into a handcrafted physics simlution. And finally, it's possible! 😍 With the help of Lars from @algebraic-ug.bsky.social and Microscopy Nodes @aafkegros.bsky.social we can now render this cell animation in Blender!

Demo + Tutorial on how to use Blender MCP server with local open source models. They are not as powerful as the flaghip models, but they are VERY fast. Simple technical operations like scene summary or batch processing certain properties just take between 3-10 seconds www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPBl...

Blender 5.2 is already incredible, but with with the latest release of Microscopy Nodes by @aafkegros.bsky.social, cell rendering is pretty like never before. extensions.blender.org/add-ons/micr...

I recently had the idea: what if we could render Blender node tree graphs in the browser? So I grabbed the open source Blender codebase and asked Claude Code to reimplement the node editor’s node drawing code (originally C++) in React. After 3 days of fine-tuning, it looks great! 🎉

Did you know that one can put matrices into simulation zones in Blender geometry nodes? E.g. the simulation from the screen recording produces a smooth-follow effect.

I've been working on a node sharing website, which I'm happy to share today: tree-clipper.com Select a Shader/GeoNodes/Compositor tree, and then it's a one-click import, as you can see in the demo video. The website is connected to a database, so one can even search for specific keywords.

I just experimented with a Geometry Nodes sharing prototype. A webpage with a thumbnail and a copy button that copies a Base64-encoded node group, which can then be pasted into Geometry Nodes using Tree Clipper (by @algebraic-ug.bsky.social, released a few days ago). What do you think about this? 💭

Today, I learned about matrix multiplication in Blender. These matrices contain info for location and rotation, and can be chained one after another. Super useful with the new "Geometry Attribute" constrain, e.g. to make a camera follow an object, like in the screen recording
