I only pray for two things. First, if anyone is sick, I pray for them. I've seen the miraculous results of prayer and faith in healing firsthand. Second, when a young couple is getting married, because they need all the help they can get. Just about every other prayer is selfish AF.

Actually it was way before that. My Chemistry professors at Idaho State University were making it a big part of their lectures in 1971, when I started school there as a Chemistry/Physics dual major. That was 54 years ago. They related that it was actually known during World War II.
