The panic hasn't even hit yet. Diesel prices are going to continue to explode- especially on the West Coast. Trump will respond by banning diesel exports, which will trigger a global recession and stock sell off. Put a pin in this post that all of this will happen before November.

The "real fix" without a Constitutional convention is to increase the size of Congress- a lot. 10x the current size. This would make gerrymandering irrelevant, and end the power of the 2-party system without disenfranchisement. The center would once again take hold- where most Americans are anyway.

The most disturbing part of this story is: If some 23 year old hacked into a government server, the cops would bust down their door, but because a corporation's products did it, the CEO got a phone call. AI regulation won't ever work unless developers are held responsible for criminal behaviors!
