A new design from @textillianstudios.bsky.social is out today and Patrick used some of my yarn for one of the samples! I have the Spring Fade minis in the shop and also have added a Fall Fade set of minis so that you can choose your mood for your Satisfying Stripes Shawl. 🧶🧶🧶

We started watching East of Eden on Netflix and I'm so invested. This is a Steinbeck novel I have never read, so I'll definitely be doing that soon to compare.

P.S. I also received my Flu and Covid vaxes on Saturday and barely noticed a difference afterward. Just a little more fatigued than usual for a day. I have heard both are already spreading around pretty well in my area, crossing fingers they have time to build immunity before I am exposed.

We spent more time in the Twin Cities and ate some great food. (Red Rabbit, Black Walnut, Gai Noi) Then, back to IL to visit more family. After arriving back home, we visited the orchard to get some apples and views, which are always so nice. I'm back to work this AM, thanks for your patience! 2/2

Hi! I spent about a week on the road. First, we stopped in IL to visit my parents on the way up to MN. Then, we hit the Twin Cities for the Yarnover Market put on by the MN Knitting Guild, which was a lovely event despite my disastrous booth display situation. (All ended up fine, though.) 🧶1/2

A few years ago, I did a fiber countdown calendar, with a mini batt for each day. I have some leftovers, so I decided they would be my next spinning project. Leaving them all as singles, which I love. These are the first two. 🧶🧶

Pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... I made the third size and used the fourth size directions for the sleeves. I used two skeins of the MC in Sourdough Sock which has 400 yards per skein. 1 skein each of the other two colorways. It fits me well. I don't especially love extra baggy fits.

I said I wanted to get this finished in time to wear this summer, I barely made my deadline. This is Marettimo by Boyland Knitworks. I made the 3rd size and sized up for the sleeve sizing. Yarn is my Dolly's Coat of Many Colors, Rosehip Tea and Rose on Sourdough Sock. Pattern and yarn links below. 🧶

This girl I used to waitress with in Austin, we moved to New York together in 2003 on a literal Greyhound bus. Shared a fifth floor walk-up studio that, when it rained, had more leaks in the ceiling than we had pots and pans. We used to get drunk and smoke off the fire escape and do “sad-offs.”
