Check out this awesome comics creator: Dev is an 8yr old graphic novelist & founder of Mouseworks Inc. He loves drawing stuff in the sea, boring office stuff, & hilarious chaos. His favorite character is Colossal Squid. His greatest fear is climate change, so his comics take it on. mouseworks.dev

Ride or Die is funny & heartbreaking by turns, a fun action-y ride with real stakes & the best buddy comedy duo ever. Octavia Spencer's Debbie is dryly witty, clever, the moral and emotional heart of the piece. But I must sheepishly admit that if this GIF was the whole show I'd still watch.

So sometimes when I see particularly haunted stuff on Thrift Store websites, I bid the minimum just to see. Can I really purchase the horrors for as little as $4.99? This week, the answer is yes.

I posted too soon! This little train was in pieces in the box, and now that I have successfully reassembled it I've decided they are going on an adventure together. I don't know where they're going, but they're going in style.

And here's a 2x2, proof of concept. The one you see in the video is missing its back stabilizer ring so it almost twists apart, but I've now stabilized it and these little guys are sturdy as hell especially if you only let them hang from the top.

My first attempt at attaching two baby mails together, and I kind of make it look like they're holding hands inside another ring. I pretty quickly figured out this was not stable enough, and needed Rings attaching their feet together as well, as well as stabilizers front and back.

I had a 4 foot tall box delivered to me today. I thought it was some rolls of wallpaper that I'd also ordered recently, so I didn't take a picture of the box before I basically tore it apart (it's been raining lately, so everything was damp). And I pulled out.. this.

This was the picture I saw! I thought the blade was either well-polished wood, or had a cool paint job. The $17 for shipping and handling didn't even make me blink. Lots of these folks use FedEx. $15 to ship a 12" square box with good padding seemed super reasonable to me.

Progress! Hoping to have it done tomorrow after work.
The same large statement necklace as the previous posts, with green Barrel beads forming the outward radial strands of a web-like structure. In between those, narrow bands of small blue and white beads support dangling skulls and fake human teeth made of polymer clay. Two Tumblr posts from discodeerdiary

I still think that a key function of the way we think of the concepts "adult" and "child" is to separate the human population into "people who deserve autonomy but no protection" and "people who deserve protection but no autonomy" and in the process dehumanize both groups of people. We ignore the fact that all people need both autonomy and protection, and that our society could easily be set up to provide everyone a healthy mix of both.

And to be honest much of what we label as "protection" for children and "autonomy" for adults is merely the appearance of such. We act as if dictating what children are allowed to say, think, or feel is a form of care, and as if cutting away all social safety nets for adults is a form of empowerment.
