Still mad that I lost track of this skull I found 5 years ago Clearly some kind of mustelid Maybe a weasel or ermine?

A small mammal skull, with very sharp teeth and a wide-opening jaw. A bit of whitish fur is attached near the lower jaw

Suspected to be a weasel or ermine

Skull is maybe 2 inches in length? Thumb of adult man in lower frame gives some semblance of scale.

I mostly like how it turned out, but it doesn’t stretch as much as I remembered from previous attempts so the next few I might go up a size or two on the needles, and make a larger bottom to work from (bottom is knit flat and then stitches are picked up to work in round). Details in alt text

Finally bound off this damnable hat I’ve been knitting since before XMas see alt text for details

A hat knit in self-striping sock yarn. The colors are blue, yellow , black, and brown, repeating in that order.

The hat is knit on size 1 needles in 2k3p ribbing, which is hell

80 rows of 160 stitches before the decreases start

Finished up my first “Melt the ICE” hat and figured I’d talk about it some First, the good. It’s an easy knit. All you need to know is cast on, knit, purl, and basic decreases. Here I used a possum-merino blend on US 8 needles, it fits my large dude head and covers the ears if I don’t fold it.
