I'm tired of this lazy "establishment" bullshit.

It's become a substitute for making an actual argument. If someone has experience, they're "establishment." If they've built relationships, they're "establishment." If they've won elections, passed legislation, or know how government actually works, they're "establishment."

No. They're Democrats who have put in the work.

You don't build a stronger party by treating experience like a liability or pretending everyone who came before you is the enemy. You build it by respecting those who've laid the foundation while welcoming new leaders who are ready to add to it.

Everything shiny and new ain't gold.

On a similar note, there's this one Bill Watterson from the Calvin and Hobbes 10th Anniversary Book. (screenshot with alt text due to character limit)

“Comic strips have historically been full of ugly stereotypes, the hallmark of writers too lazy to honestly observe the world. Offended parties often suggest the further sanitization of the comics, but one of the great strengths of cartooning is its ability to criticize through distortion. The trick is to remember that the way we describe things reveals the way we think. The cartoonist who resorts to stereotypes reveals his own bigotry.”

Decided to go with this portrait for a Crusades themed D&D Campaign. May update the portrait throughout the game. Felt like I was constantly hitting a wall when trying to work on it at first, so I decided to have a more simpler, primitive painted look.

A basic drawing of a gold dragonborn with a green shirt. Meant to look like it was painted.

Screenshot from Hellsing Ultimate Abridged Ep 4, where Christ the Redeemer has a rainbow banner saying "420YOLOSWAG4JESUS" as Alucard is taking a jet back to England.

Constrictor knots were used to put the banner up (revealed in dialogue later in the episode).
