It's clear that Cameron has a take on imperialism that is well grounded. There are sympathizers, collaborators, zealots and soldiers. They show the military working on behalf and at the behest of corporate interests. I mean fuck the guy is wearing a vest that says Project Phoenix on it.

この度は、CREA夜ふかしマンガ大賞の第1位をいただき、本当にありがとうございます。
推薦者の方々からいただいた勿体無いほどのお言葉をとても光栄に感じると共に、背筋が伸びる思いです。

『半分姉弟』は特に今年の夏頃から「今だからこそ読まれてほしい」という評価をいただくことがとても多く、
そのことには常に、行き場のないような思いでもいるというのが本音です。

一方で、移民や外国人、そのルーツを持つ人たちはメディアの中で、
多数派の主人公（＝多数派の観客）が出会うための「異文化」、「他者」、
あるいは「まなざされる」存在として描かれることがまだまだ圧倒的に多い現状も感じます。
少ない方の人たちが、主体を持った主人公として、
多い方の世界をどうまなざすのか。
私はその視座から描かれた物語こそがもっと読みたいし、
これから更に必要だとも考えています。

『半分姉弟』は、企画を立ち上げようとした段階では、
あまりポジティブな反応は貰えなかった作品でした。
ですが、想像以上に多くの方に読んでいただき、
こうして有り難い賞までいただくことができました。
そのことでもし誰かのまだ語られていない物語が
世に出る後押しが少しでもできたなら、
私の作家人生、きっとそれ以上に幸せなことはありません。
これからも、自分が読者として漫画から受け取ってきたたくさんのものを、私なりの形で繋いでいけるよう頑張ります。

Joking aside, mental health screenings are of limited use. We simply NEED to 1. Reduce the number of guns in the U.S., particularly assault rifles and long range weapons, and 2. Fix the toxic masculinity problem.
