"Lowly bard my ass." Shaking his head, making a face, arms folded loosely over his chest. "and how often is Diluc actually in the mood to let you perform in the tavern? His temper puts the Pyro Archon to shame sometimes and you test that on the regular." He will ignore the request to pay for now.

~from it long enough. ....ah, here I go talking myself out of it. Anyways, my original point in all this was the books out there about me are so exaggerated I don't even know where to start with dispelling all the rumours they've created. A stamp with my signature floatin' around is just askin'~

"I hear what you're saying. I have many people within the Knights of Favonius and beyond. The problem isn't with them, it's with the stamp itself. It creates a variable that's hard to control, and even the most well meaning and trustworthy person can lose track of something when they turn away~

~for it." He is going to ignore the implication of his delegation with paperwork for now. If he does not acknowledge it, it does not need to be said. The turn of his own phrasing against him makes him snort out a laugh, head canting to the side, an amused smile curling his lips. "Are you trying~

"You say that, and yet, you fail to recognize the lesson in why I tasked you with delivering all those letters for me." He hums, resting a hand on his hip. "There's still a lot for you to learn, Lohen. No matter how strong a person is, there is always room for improvement if you know where to look~

A sigh, forlorn. "Yeaaah I thought about it to be honest, but after Eroch I've been a little leery of the idea of giving people that kind of power without some sort of means to monitor it. The only solution to that was checking everything myself but that defeats the whole purpose of the stamp."

~another form of training exercises. Not all battles are fought with swords and elemental powers. Not to say I won't spar with you a little of course but I don't think you're lacking in power, Lohen. Patience maybe, but not power. Think your attempted ambushes on me are proof enough'a that."

"Ah, but you see-- learning how to surpass your limits means first recognizing what those limits are and how to work within them. You can't hope to improve if you don't know what it is that's holding you back, and that only comes from understanding yourself first. As for the letters... consider it~

"Hey, knowing your limits is a good thing, it's staying within them that's the hard part. Once you learn to overcome what holds you back, nothing will stand in your way. I didn't make it this far a sheer dumb luck, so if you wanna get stronger, you gotta work hard for it."

Varka could only nod his head with a quick "I will--" before he took off to try and catch up with the Duke. It was one thing to let Wriothesley pace around in view, it was something else entirely to let him run off when Matthias was in the area; not with the two in the state they were in.

Varka sighs as Wriothesley runs off, shaking his head before motioning after the Duke. "Guess we better get a move on before the Duke here gets ahead of himself." He huffs out, moving to try and catch up with Wriothesley while the agent remains with Neuvillette. "Hey WRIOTHESLEY-- slow down!"
