Beer. It was a beer sort of evening.

Yeah, well, it seemed easier than it looked. Striking those poses with Kalina Ann, not moving at all for several long minutes, had not been comfortable. The pay had been good. The unnecessary attention it earned her— not so much.

Hah! So that was what he'd been trying to hide from her for months! Go figure.

She was in a guns magazine once, too, by the way. That edition sold like hot cakes. It was a one-time gig, though.

Too obvious? Should she try another? iSlaughterDemons999? iLoveGrenades6969? brokeGirl? She was open to suggestions.

Might just have to subscribe to that. Go incognito. If you see someone with the handle bigbazookas, it might be her.

She wasn't aware that she needed anyone's permission to 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬.

Not drowning and struggling to stay afloat was practically all she had been doing since her mother's death. Was she even real anymore? Or just a ghost? An engine of destruction and sorrow and unhealthy coping held together by fragments of a shattered heart. Lady knew that the only way to >

It would take more than an ugly mug to make this devil huntress uncomfortable, much less annoyed. Lady tilted her head sideways in mock confusion. "That so? You mean to tell me patient privacy isn't a thing here? Isn't that illegal?" Her heterochromatic eyes scanned the >

Lady shook her head in exasperation, eyes rolling heavenward. "Think I'm starting my own 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 show soon, and 𝘺𝘰𝘶 will be the first to make it on my blacklist." Propping the two rocket launchers on her shoulders, she fired a swarm of homing missiles, striking every demon within range.

/ how do you place a sexually suggestive label on a simple song, bro 😭

More like a meat ray, considering how viscera flew in every direction, painting the walls and ground in gore. Lady scoffed. "Is that why you came here? To steal my spotlight again?"

"Now, no demon or zombie can stand in my way. Mwah. Mwah." She pressed a loving kiss to each of her rocket launchers.

What he had just witnessed was the destructive power of a heat ray, not a rocket. But Lady understood the confusion. The blast had been quite blinding. "I 𝘢𝘮 letting loose. Did you see the hole my baby put through that big guy? If this isn't letting loose, I don't know what is."

Seductive? Sure, why not? She could do that.

She wouldn't call herself a professional 𝘺𝘦𝘵. Lady had much to learn about making a business out of devil hunting. Until not long ago, she had only done it to avenge her mother, destroying every demon that stood between her and her objective — finding her father. >

It was all there. Lady had made sure to count every bill in front of the client before declaring the case closed. The joke was on Dante, though. The very prudent huntress had already received her share of the pay after having the client place it in a different briefcase. >

"I bought Dante a Happy Meal once. It came with a little toy sword."

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘱, Lady thought to herself, grimacing at the wording of that question. "No, thanks. Just visiting an old client of mine. They were recently committed here, and I received a phone call from them yesterday. You're a doctor?" If so, he was the oddest, most suspicious one she'd ever seen.

000

"No, it wasn't. And for your sake, I hope you weren't planning on throwing it. I didn't even get the chance to look through it." Lady shook her head disapprovingly, bi-colored eyes rolling skyward as if begging for strength. "I did, yeah." She dropped the briefcase at his feet with a loud thud. >

/ my default lady is DMC5 in appearance (age is around 39). if i were to simplify it, my portrayal is a blend of 3, TAS, 4, and 5. basically, she has the morality of dmc3 lady, the confidence, appeal, and business inclinations we see in TAS and in DMC4, and the somewhat blither disposition of DMC5.

Striding in and plucking the magazine straight from his greasy fingers. "I bought this, you know? At least clean your hands before you soil it. Now, it smells like... sausages and onions."

000

"We're not exactly heroes," she took a bite from her pizza slice, and chewed slowly.

"We get special discounts for saving the day, I guess." It was more like Jerry and Bob took pity on them and cut the price. "Well, you know, usually the damage it involves kinda gets cut from our pay, so..."

000

/ girl, Lady already told you demons exist. Grace is in denial so bad. 😭

"We're broke most of the time, so yeah, pizza it is. It's the only food we collectively agree on at Devil May Cry."

011

/ it's late. I shall see myself out.

000

Well. That complicated matters even more. Lady expelled a long-suffering sigh, though her expression turned mildly disbelieving next. "You sure they'd be willing to sacrifice that sample so easily? Isn't that expensive research they'd destroy? Like flushing a million dollars down the toilet." >

In truth, she would have been more surprised if Leon had given her an affirmative answer. After all, a man who had seen too much death and carried himself the way he did, hardened features, a dimmer light behind his eyes, and the posture of years of combat on his heavy shoulders, could only be >
