If you’ve read either book & enjoyed it, a short review on Amazon or Goodreads makes a bigger difference to a small press than you might realize. Even a sentence or two helps another reader decide whether to take a chance on the book. Thanks for reading & for supporting independent publishing.

Over the past 18 months, Literary Garage has expanded beyond the magazine & into book publishing with Saints of the Asphalt and Bad Intentions, there’s much more to come.

Bad Intentions - crime fiction anthology based on the music of Warren Zevon

SAINTS of the ASPHALT - a book by Michael Downing tha's part crime fiction, part coming of age, part sports.

Hey, Friends! It's a COVER REVEAL! That's right, after a year(ish) of work, Daydream Believer, edited by me and @michellekubitz.bsky.social will be out at the end of Sept. Here's a link: shotgunhoney.com/books/catalo... List of FAB authors below! #booksky #TheMonkees #anthology #mystery

In 1966, the Monkees was Hollywood’s attempt to cash in on Beatlemania. But they got more than they bargained for in a show that was madcap, counterculture, and poked a finger in the eye of staid, boring, square America. DAYDREAM BELIEVER pays homage to a show and the music that has lasted for generations.

Like a Monkees record, there’s something for everyone. Stories of revenge, stories of unrequited love, stories that involve unusual gardening tips and family shenanigans, and trains going everywhere and nowhere. All inspired by the music of The Monkees.

Net proceeds from this anthology will benefit the American LiIbrary Association (ALA) and its ongoing fight against book banning.

The Monkees were supposed to be disposable. But they have lasted. The songs, the show, the movie. The band and the songs live on.

DAYDREAM BELIEVER features the work of award winning crime and mystery writers:

Lawrence Allan
Eric Beetner
Lina Chern
Libby Cudmore
Michael Downing
Jeff Esterholm
Michel Lee Garrett
Paul J. Garth
James D.F. Hannah
Sean Patrick Little
Alan Orloff
Raquel V. Reyes
Keith Roysdon
Holly West
