You can fuck right off, you pestilent, fat, bloated, piece of ugly bling in a bad suit.
The decision "severely jeopardizes the lives and welfare of the people who work, and will be working, at the White House — including all future Presidents of the United States, and their families, as well as the lives of all those visiting, such as Heads of State and other Dignitaries, and all Americans who wish to visit the historic, beautiful Executive Mansion," Trump wrote.

One thing I love about BlueSky is PhDs get to complain that they're not considered working class and that socialism is all about teaching working people to read novels and go to the symphony so they'll become more fully human. I feel pretty sure the revolution will definitely happen soon-ish.
Joel S.

@joelhs.bsky.social

Farmers are coded "working class" as rural white people, even though they own their means of production. Meanwhile, I have a PhD and teach at a liberal arts college, so no one will ever call me working class, even though I earn a lot less and depend on wages. It's gendered vibes, all the way down.

In Reply To:

Sarah Taber @sarahtaber.bsky.social

Farmers vote Republican because they're people with money & property. So they vote like people with money & property.

That's it. It's not rocket science.

I wonder if either of have worked in a factory. I have. In any factory or mine are always gonna be some people who are familiar with and enjoy art that you think is worthwhile. But maybe you're not seeing those people because you aren't even looking.
A screenshot of a social media post responding to another on a dark mode interface.

The main post is by Jay Hulme (@jayhulmepoet.bsky.social) and reads:

'My biggest conspiracy theory is that telling working class people that engagement in the arts is a middle / upper class thing and to do so makes you a class traitor is a psyop to make them disengaged with themselves and the world and the beauty of being human, so that they accept worse treatment.'

Embedded within this is a quoted post by Paul Boldrin (@paulboldrin.bsky.social) that reads:

'I read a history of early 20th century socialism and it's crazy how much of it is just clubs doing art or reading books and trying to get miners and factory workers to do art and read books.'

Donald Trump is on the left, wearing a dark blue suit, a white shirt, a solid red tie, and an American flag lapel pin. Trump threatens Iran with further attacks if Hormuz does not reopen within 48 hours

Donald Trump has posted this on Truth Social in the past few minutes: "If Iran doesn't FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST! Thank you for your attention to this matter."

A wholesome edit of the 'Always Has Been' astronaut meme.

Two astronauts in white space suits are floating in dark space with the Earth in the background.

The first astronaut is looking at the Earth, with text beside them asking, 'wait, i am worthy of love?'

The second astronaut is standing behind the first.

Instead of pointing a gun at the first astronaut's back like in the original meme format, they are holding out a bouquet of colorful yellow and pink tulips. Text above them replies, 'always have been'.

A distressed, faux hand-drawn sketch 'concert poster' for, apparently, 'Genesis'.

The word 'GENESIS' dominates the top half in large, blocky, sketched letters. Below it, a tagline reads: 'You loved the book! Now listen to the music!'

The (faux) tour dates are listed underneath:

'NOV 3 - MUNCIE CIVIC HALL / NOV 5 - PEORIA ARMORY / NOV 7 - FARGO MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM'.

The bottom half of the poster features a sketched illustration of a rock concert.

Silhouettes of three band members—a guitarist, a drummer, and a bassist—are performing on a stage equipped with tall amplifier stacks and a drum kit. Spotlights beam down from the top corners, illuminating the band, while a silhouette of a cheering crowd with raised hands is sketched along the very bottom edge.

A screenshot of a mobile web experiment titled "Swarm Conductor." Against a dark background, a vertical axis on the left labels musical pitch frequencies (from C2 to G5), creating a horizontal grid of quantized notes. A chaotic "flock" of colorful geometric agents—blue triangles (bass), red squares (reeds), and gold circles (chimes)—is clustered in the bottom right quadrant, swarming around an invisible touch point. The agents are shown jostling for space using separation logic. One agent flashes white, visually indicating it has just crossed a grid line and triggered a sound envelope. The top UI displays the current musical scale "Mode: Major (Ionian)" and a green digital VU meter indicating the volume, which is determined by the flock's horizontal position. A large "CYCLE SCALE" button sits at the bottom.

A five-panel black and white comic strip on a textured paper background. In the first panel, a hand from the right rotates a toilet paper roll counter-clockwise, indicated by a curved arrow, with a question mark thought bubble below. The roll's end is not visible. The second panel shows the same hand rotating the roll clockwise, also with no end in sight; a thought bubble with an angry face and "NOPE." is below. The third panel shows the motionless toilet paper roll, with a speech bubble containing "SIGH" to its right. The fourth panel switches perspective to a person on a toilet, looking at a black cat with large eyes sitting on the bathroom floor. Below is a speech bubble with "RIGHT." The final panel shows a large pile of unrolled toilet paper on the floor beneath the roll, with the black cat walking away from it and a speech bubble containing "THANKS" to the right.

So, noxious Libs of TikTok uses other people's suggestions for targets in her harassment campaigns? Like this one in her screenshot from 'Patrick Casey'? Assuming these people are actual people ('PC' looks like a bot to me): uh...have they thought this through?
A screenshot of a Media Matters for America article. The visible text quotes a social media caption: 'parents know that the person teaching their kids is on an anti-ICE resistance group chat which coordinates the doxxing and harassment of federal agents? Do you condone these actions?'
Below this text is an image of the actual social media post by 'Libs of TikTok' (@libsoftiktokofficial), which directs this question to a school district account (@bps271).
The Libs of TikTok post shares a screenshot of a tweet by Patrick Casey (@restoreorderusa) dated Jan 26. Casey's tweet features photos of an individual (whose name is redacted in white blocks) and reads:
'Say hello to [Redacted]. He's in one of the anti-ICE Signal chats the FBI is investigating. [Redacted] is a gay man who uses "he/they" pronouns. He is also an elementary school teacher with @TeachersOnCall and @bps271. Would you feel comfortable with him teaching your kids?'

A great lede for this guardian story. It struck me that a whole bunch of what's wrong right now is neatly captured by that quote.
A screenshot of an article by David Smith titled '‘This is what fascism looks like’: terror in Minneapolis reminiscent of civil war'.

The sub-headline reads: 'Alex Pretti’s death could be a moment of reckoning for Democrats to call time on Trump waging war on his people'. The date is Sunday, 25 Jan 2026.

A red circle highlights the first paragraph of body text, which reads:

'Wearing helmets, gas masks and camouflage fatigues, the federal agents took aim and prepared to open fire. “It’s like Call of Duty,” one could be heard saying via a TV mic, referring to a first-person shooter military video game. “So cool, huh?”'

The text continues:

'This was the scene on the streets of Minneapolis on Saturday after armed agents, wearing masks and tactical vests, wrestled 37-year-old Alex Pretti to the ground and shot him dead. The killing took place just over a mile from where Renee Good was fatally shot on 7 January, a scene that itself was less than a mile from where police murdered George Floyd in May 2020.'

A parody of the movie poster for "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice." In this version, the character of Ted (originally played by Elliott Gould) has been replaced by the Grinch. The Grinch sits on the far left of a large bed, scowling with green fur, alongside the original cast members Natalie Wood, Robert Culp, and Dyan Cannon. The credits below the title have been altered to read "Grinch" instead of "Elliott Gould," the title altered to replace "Bob" with "Grinch", and the tagline at the bottom reads, "consider the possibilities."

A conservative, somewhere, probably
A Father's Lament

My three daughters all voted for Harris. Two of them have stopped speaking to me (and one is boycotting Thanksgiving) because I voted Nazi. I did not tell thrm how to vote. I did not presume to argue or even to convince them not to associate with people of other races. I cannot fathom why they expect me to tolerate this lack of basic social courtesy merely because I wish them to be stripped of their rights and forced to be brood mares for other fathers' proud and well-muscled sons who I totally do not imagine engaging in such activities with my ungrateful baby girls. I have the right to my opinion. A man should be able to practice eugenics in his own home. This is what freedom is and I am very angry at my children for hating freedom, even were I to forgive them for hating me. Which I most certainly do not. I will not talk about their mother, The Bitch. American society has lost its way, hiding behind the smelly skirts of women, and it now must return to the bountiful embrace of tall, hard men in sleek, black uniforms, all practically exploding from their swelling pride. This, this: women cannot comprehend the warrior spirit of a boy in his prime, they can only tremble at his feet in fear and awe in the presence of such Aryan vitality. I did always want to have a boy, you know. Or two. Yes, it's true, two at the same time can be a bit much.

But I hear it's worth it.

There are actually no real indications of this. Trump's approval is maybe -8 in registered voter polls. He is more popular than the similar point in his first term. Maybe he will drop but maybe he will rebound as he often did. There are absolutely no present indications of a major wave.

Women of color, Jews, rape survivors, Black people, or any of the others that Platner might alienate with this past behavior, meanwhile, seem relatively cheap to them in comparison. Brian Harris was working from home on Indigenous Peoples' Day and went to the Santa Fe Plaza after seeing on social media some type of protest was taking place. When he arrived, he was confronted with what he described as "an angry mob."

"It was disheartening, to say the least," Harris said.

He arrived a few minutes after the obelisk had already been toppled and said he stayed for about 45 minutes, during which he said there was a sense of lawlessness he hadn't previously encountered in Santa Fe.

Harris, who moved to Santa Fe in 1999, said he is "very much a liberal" and believes in free and fair protest, but what he saw that day was something different.

"There was an undertone of violence," he said, adding he felt like many people present were inordinately happy they had succeeded in destroying the monument.

For fascists, hypocrisy is a flex and not an embarrassment. It says: "I make the rules and I enforce the rules, not you." Does pointing out the hypocrisy alter the opinion of the undecided audience? Maybe. Does it bolster a sense of brutal, inevitable fascist power that's attractive to some? Maybe.
