It's the main reason I'm thinking about a foldable phone in the new "wide" format - definitely curious to compare the Galaxy Z Fold 8 to the iPhone Duo more directly

Incredibly well deserved - The River Has Roots is a fantastic novella, and the audiobook in particular adds SO MUCH texture to a story that has singing and music as a core element

Farmer and the Beast Portland, OR ⭐ $ Southern Beast - 5 oz "half smash", medium, smoked cheddar cheese, red pepper jelly, bread & butter pickles, Duke's White BBQ spread, iceberg lettuce on a Franz bun. Sweet and tangy, flavor changing with each bite; smaller than the usual Beast Burger #CBDB

The "half smash" burger described in the post, though the one I actually ate was a little more compact. Image is taken from Farmer and the Beast's Instagram account, including the Burger Week branding at the bottom.

Orpheus and Eurydice from Hadestown! Doing som more playing around with the new True Grit Texture Supply Aqua Studio brushes for Clip Studio Paint.

Digital simulated watercolor art of Orpheus and Eurydice as depicted in the Broadway musical Hadestown. Orpheus faces right, looking down sadly at a carnation falling to pieces floating above his left hand while gripping his guitar in his right. Eurydice stands behind him leaning her forehead into his back and gripping his arm. He doesn't seem to know she's there.

Of the standard touristy stuff, I do enjoy MOPOP and Chihuly Garden. The Space Needle is also fun to do around sunset. The Living Computer Museum is dead, but this seems to have taken up its mantle: icm.museum

In @davidharper.bsky.social 's great interview with Iman Vellani for her new indie comic book, she mentioned mentally mapping the soundtrack in a film to the *colors* in a comic, which I thought was fascinating.

I just finished (listening to) the novella The River Has Roots by Amal El-Mohtar and had a lovely time. There's something magical about a story that has enough room to breathe and establish itself, while staying focused on a tight little tale.
