I’ve had 2 wildly different experiences seeking out accessibility options this week. I asked House of Blues in Boston about having like, a folding chair and they were so fast to respond + kind & offered me + a companion seats in the dedicated a11y seating. It was so easy to get what I needed! 1/2

Hey @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social these bus seats are hostile to homeless people AND disabled people. Even the disabled seats are slanted like this. And as a short person I have a hard time sitting in them! Can we stop with the hostile architecture?

~12 yrs ago my roommate & I were struggling to carry an AC unit we bought around the corner. A kind man told us to stop & got his nephew to carry it for us. He even walked it up to our 3rd floor apt. I was new to the neighborhood and remember being so touched someone would do that for a stranger.

I backed a tarot Kickstarter then panicked bc I saw others say they’re suspicious that the creator uses AI. I panicked, reread the “no-AI” statement on the campaign page, but still doubted myself. It’s sad to me that this is even a thing! This is objectively bad!

As I get older, more Things are needed to help me fall asleep and now I have an absurdly complicated bedtime routine. Add surgery recovery on top of that (ice packs and special pillows) and yeah this is out of control

Hi everyone, it looks like I ran out of time. I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin.
We need more stories about us and our culture.
You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all.

I’m healing from shoulder surgery and I’m in a very fun spot where I need ice but the pressure of the ice pack hurts. I wish I had a, like… ice aura instead of a physical object that puts pressure on the wound
