Mit den Stimmen von CDU, SPD und AfD wurde heute im Bundestag die Aussetzung des Familiennachzugs für subsidiär Schutzberechtigte beschlossen. Über 70 % der nachziehenden Angehörigen sind Frauen und Kinder. Ihnen wird damit eine der wenigen legalen und sicheren Möglichkeiten zur Einreise genommen.

Das Aussetzen des Familiennachzugs ist ein fataler Fehler. Es betrifft vor allem Frauen und Kinder, treibt sie in unsichere Fluchtrouten und erschwert die Integration für hier lebende geflüchtete Familienangehörige.

Ziel ist es, die Ursachen, Dynamiken und Konsequenzen dieser Entwicklungen aus globaler, vergleichender und historischer Perspektive zu analysieren. In der zweiten Förderphase liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Resilienz demokratischer Gesellschaftsmodelle.

SCRIPTS vereint die Expertise von fünf führenden Berliner Forschungseinrichtungen und fördert die interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit von Wissenschaftler*innen aus verschiedenen Fachbereichen. Neben der Forschung legt SCRIPTS großen Wert auf den Wissensaustausch mit der Gesellschaft und Politik. Durch öffentliche Veranstaltungen, Vortragsreihen und Ausstellungen, Workshops und Hintergrundgespräche werden Forschungsergebnisse einem breiten Publikum ebenso wie politischen Entscheidungsträger*innen zugänglich gemacht.
