Alt: Otanashi Saya — main character from the Japanese anime "Blood: The Last Vampire", written by Oshii Mamoru — drawing her katana from its scabbard, which in Japanese is also called saya. In this animated gif, we see Saya's hands raised in front of her face, as she pulls out the sword. Doing so, she slightly lowers both hands, the sword and the scabbard, revealing her eyes. The blade reflects light coming from a lamp hanging from the ceiling behind her. The light stretches a katana-wide band of brightness across her eyes, highlighting her sharp look, emanating concentration and intent. Onegai Shimasu! KC, Love
