I’m three administrative hours away from becoming a Certified Master Gardener and I cannot stress enough how much this program has helped my sanity over the past few months. Today I rescued a monarch caterpillar from a harvest bin and relocated it to a big tall milkweed plant.

Here’s the good news, the 10th Amendment exists so many states will “consider” the need to update requirements and will reject the ask. There’s a lot in the EO which is just not feasible, but it’s not the right messaging for a time with *checks notes* an alarmingly large measles outbreak.

The Trump administration is preparing an executive order that would upend decades of federal guidance on which vaccines are administered to children and call for states to reconsider school vaccine requirements.

We had a Division staff meeting today and our clinical nurse leader brought all these flowers. She then explained that these flowers represent the babies in the state who are alive because of the perinatal Hepatitis B prevention program instead of dying from HepB infection. Images are powerful.

Hey BlueSky: chill. Public health experts, like public health guy, recognize the importance of informed discussion in medical care. Also, “just do it” is not an effective way to change behavior. There are a lot of parents with questions about vaccines and they should be addressed with compassion.
