I'm at Warwick Castle with my other half. I'm about to watch a giant trebuchet launch. It's mind-bogglingly huge.

Utterly gorgeous, still sunrise this morning, as I am towed by a VERY talkative Youngest to the bus stop.

It is sunrise. The horizon glows, and the sky above it is deepening blues. Silent trees stand guard next to a strip of rain-shiny tarmac. Street lamps burn weakly.

We stopped at the York chocolate Works for a hot chocolate and a sweet treat. OMG, peeps, you should taste it. 50% cocoa, whole milk, real cream and marshmallows. And a gluten-free chocolate torte. I am HAPPY.

The Cat Cafe (The Cat's Whiskers in York) isn't quite the cat love-fest I was expecting, but the cats here are so clearly well cared for, and calm and confident, it's still quite lovely. It's wonderful to see them all chilled out and happy.

I have finished it! I learned a LOT making this bear: Turkish cast-on Increasing and decreasing in different ways Sock heel (for the butt) Three-needle bind-off And also patience and perseverance, two qualities I don't possess much of naturally!

The bear from the front: he's about 10 inches tall, and has a slightly startled expression. Made of lilac coloured yarn and with jug ears.

I have picked up my on-again, off-again knitting project. A bear, knit in the round, whose name is Anakin Skywalker (because at one point, he was just a head and a torso. I'm down to just arms and ears now, but need to find some matching yarn coz I'm playing chicken...

Ok, peeps, Evil Vincent (Van Slogh) is FINISHED. Lots of input from my -ADULT- spawns with every aspect of this toy, from colour, to design, to naming. He is a naughty we fella; he steals milk bottles and left socks only. He likes making peoples undies ride up, and making dogs bark after dark.

I'm not entirely sure whyyyyyy, but Vincent is now getting a beard and moustache (yes, I'm procrastinating the arms, but that's not it). The yarn is actually glittery. And I think he's gonna get a top hat, too.

The start of my new toy. Based on a pattern by Critter Makes on Insta. Haven't decided what to do about arms and ears, but I think it'll have a tail. Freckles has named it Vincent, because Van Gogh used a lot of yellow.

Today, my mum is taking the spawns so I can have a break (this mostly means I don't have to watch them on the PS5 all day). Hoping a day of 'rest' will let me get to grips with this flare and do some crochet. I'm making a yellow Bernard (see pic below), but with different accessories. Exciting.

It’s sick of my body yelling SURPRISE every morning, so I thought I’d take ownership of my issues. I’ve only written down the symptoms which affect me, and they’re all from the NHS website. (I’d have added a circle for BPD and/or depression, but I can only do 3-circle Venn diagrams)

I am SUPER proud of the first image. Had a really fun time Doing A Science with Freckles, and then Hubs and Eldest came out too. We found we could cast eclipse shadows with our fingers and thumbs!

Moo and I just watched ep2 of #SewingBee on catch up (print and colour week), and were GOBSMACKED that the judges gave Garment of the Week to Adele and not Beth. Beth's ombre seafoam dress was AMAZING, and Adele's shades of green top and trousers merely ok. #current #not #behindthetimes
