btw i'm living in scotland rn in case anyone is wondering, since close to four weeks ago. i am BUSY with studying and working on papers but i am having a wonderful time, everyone is really nice and i'm making a huge effort to join social events and ask people out to the movies and stuff

i bought pickled jalapeños for my sandwiches. been making a lot of sandwiches because i've been watching that show, roll for sandwich. i could never do what that person does, i always make the same sandwich, but it's admirable. and sometimes you get an idea for an ingredient that could be nice!

i walked through the soles in my shoes (i got shaped orthopaedic ones and apparently my own soles are angled in a way that the outer rim is just gone. it's been. two maybe three? months and now i just cramp when walking normally because the 'base' is irregular

i went to the beach around 11 the day before yesterday because the sky had suddenly cleared up and i wanted to watch the stars. casually took some pictures of the horizon to document what i was doing. watch stars, beautiful, have a great time. go back home. check my pictures. aurora borealis????

had a nightmare that my master's 'class' was suddenly publicly ranked by grades and i was in last place (&the list deadnamed me) then i went on a boatride and was attacked by crocodile-birds. i make it out alive only to get made fun of about my 'bad' grades by random people on the street.

i've been making various dishes that boil down to 'chicken and rice' recently. my parents love it bc there literally is nothing better than throwing a bunch of like cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves, cayenne, saffron, etc. in rice and letting it just do its thing (i made a biryani last week)
