If you think the Dems don’t have the balls (or votes) to impeach, then they REALLY don’t have the balls to charge him with Sedition or Treason. (2/2)

The only reason it “worked” with Nixon was because he resigned from office rather than face the scrutiny and resulting humiliation of impeachment. This jackass has no shame, so impeachment without charges to force removal means nothing to him. (1/2)

Thank you! 💚 The creepy mermaid with the lilypads is definitely a favorite of my recent stuff.

Kit Steele (🔜 DragonCon) @kitsteele.com · 14/06/2025

Thank you! It’s definitely a matter of “right aspect for the right piece,” at least with my stuff. It’s something I run out of patience (and grip strength) for very quickly, though. 😅

Thanks, Aimee! The 3d paper cuts always seem like a great idea, until it’s time to start cutting them. 🤣

Thank you! After years of drawing random-tailed mers it was brought to my attention that I’d never done a gator. Had to fix that! 😁

Big congratulations on 14K! 🎉 Thank you for the art share! (… take 2, because my brain is clearly somewhere else today. 😅)

Watercolor painting of a dark, murky green mermaid peering up from the depths through a scattering of 3 dimensional gilt-edged waterlilies, floated above the surface of the painting.

Matted ink portrait of a young man with visibly scarred golden eyes and long white dredlocks. He stares confidently out at the viewer. Floated over the painting and the mat, is the golden outline of a Jacob’s sheep skull.

2 long, slender ink and watercolor paintings, side by side, of a pair of alligator-based merpeople.

On the left is a character based on Baron Samedi, wearing the iconic skull face paint. He also wears a top hat, tuxedo tail coat, and white gloves. With one hand, he tips his hat to the viewer, wearing a knowing smile, with the other hand he holds a highball glass filled with a vibrant orange Sazerac cocktail.

On the right is an alligator mermaid loosely based on Marie Laveau, famed VooDoo Queen of New Orleans. She has long dredlocks held back by a white headscarf, and wears a necklace of bones. In one hand, she carries a staff topped with a human skull, with mermaid-shaped poppets stuck with pins hanging from the top.

Multilayered, handcut, 3 dimensional watercolor painting featuring a humpback whale and tiny mermaid companion breaching through cotton candy-colored clouds of vibrant pinks, sunset orangey yellows and sleepy violets. Beyond the clouds, the Milky Way ribbons it’s way across the sky.

These are fantastic! I love bookplates, and the fact that these are block prints? Even better!

I absolutely adore the flower-framed doorway painting! It’s so cozy and welcoming.

Congrats on 14K! I really do love the moody atmosphere of all these pieces, and I’m definitely gravitating toward to solo figures, there’s something so desolate about their isolation.

Congrats on 14K, Aimee! 🎉 Thanks for the art share! 💚

3 dimensional, hand cut, multi-layered watercolor painting featuring a humpback whale, with a tiny mermaid friend, breaching through puffy, cotton candy-colored clouds. Beyond the clouds, the Milky Way ribbons across the sky.

Watercolor painting of a large, curling, twisting viper made of tree roots and tree bark skin. Along the twists and turns of the snake body are patches of vibrant green moss, dotted with tiny pink flowers. The snakes eyes are a milky green, staring out at the viewer. This is the Year of the Wood Snake.

Watercolor painting of a long haired, young woman, outlined in ink. A golden arrow passes through her body, piercing her heart on its way out. Behind her, where the arrow pierces her back, is a large blooming pool of deep red watercolor.

MerMay day 31 DONE! (And on time, too!) Today’s a 12”x18”, 6 layer, handcut watercolor piece…. I’m going to spend tomorrow dead, kthanks. #watercolor #mermay #clouscape

Large watercolor layered painting of a night sky background, the Milky Way ribboning across the sky, topped with individual layers of cotton candy-colored clouds. From within the cloud layers, a humpback whale breaches uptowards the night.

Angled photo of the painting to see the multiple hand cut layers of painted paper.

I am no advocate of genAI, but they couldn’t even ChatGPT that shit? If I eyeroll any harder at all the ways they’ve colosally screwed up this year, I’m going to hurt myself.

There seems to be little to no justification for anything they’re doing right now beyond angry, nonsensical rhetoric and incoherant ranting.

The NASA planetary science fleet chart if the president’s budget is enacted.

The NASA planetary science fleet chart. It shows two spirals with missions to Moon/Mars and the Solar System. I’ve crossed off all of the missions that will be cancelled in the president’s budget… and there are a lot of them.

What educational aim? You’re assuming they have one. They’ve proposed cutting nearly everything else to do with science, medicine, education, and human advancement.

Ah, gotcha! It’s definitely a challenge keeping up with the constantly changing “policies” over here, that’s for sure.

MerMay day 30, I can see the finish line!!!! All the blue lobster armor pieces and horseshoe crab pauldrons are handcut and layered over the mermaid painting. #watercolor #mermay

Photo of long, rectangular watercolor painting featuring a bronze-skinned, dark haired warrior mermaid with a golden tail, wearing a cuirass, vambraces, and tasses of blue lobster shell and horseshoe crab shells as pauldrons.

Close up of painting to see handcut armor pieces affixed over the painting surface.

I thought Trump repealed the de mimimis, no exemptions, to go into effect May 2nd. (Of course, the fed. court injunction pauses all of that right now, and the new injunction pauses the pause.) It’s all so painfully stupid here right now, and I am so sorry 31% of Americans forced this on the world.

Random request time! My sister is convinced Sir David Attenborough did a documentary on fantasy creatures (like SW or D&D, not the 1975 “Fabulous Animals,” something more recent,) but we’ve had no luck finding anything. Did she fever dream this?

Kit Steele (🔜 DragonCon) @kitsteele.com · 29/05/2025

Nope. No pass, no excuses. I didn’t know about Australia’s mandatory voting regulation and fine, that’s really interesting! Sadly, no, politicians in power like an uninformed and lazy populace.

010

Kit Steele (🔜 DragonCon) @kitsteele.com · 29/05/2025

Right? It’s been 4 months of watching an overgrown toddler threaten to take his ball home if he doesn’t get his way. I’ve never been more furious with the portion of the population that decided not to vote for whatever reason.

There have been death threats against sitting judges who rule against him, or serve injunctions. And, if I were a sitting judge, I wouldn’t be relying on this DoJ or US Marshalls to protect me. But, like I said, optimistic! (2/2)

190

Kit Steele (🔜 DragonCon) @kitsteele.com · 29/05/2025

Remaining cautiously optimistic here!! He’s ignored ruling and injunctions since day 1, and none of the pending suits have actually gone to trial yet. This kind of power grab is unprecedented here and the resulting pushback (temper tantrum) remains to be seen. (1/2)
