Big congratulations on 14K! 🎉 Thank you for the art share! (… take 2, because my brain is clearly somewhere else today. 😅)

Watercolor painting of a dark, murky green mermaid peering up from the depths through a scattering of 3 dimensional gilt-edged waterlilies, floated above the surface of the painting.

Matted ink portrait of a young man with visibly scarred golden eyes and long white dredlocks. He stares confidently out at the viewer. Floated over the painting and the mat, is the golden outline of a Jacob’s sheep skull.

2 long, slender ink and watercolor paintings, side by side, of a pair of alligator-based merpeople.

On the left is a character based on Baron Samedi, wearing the iconic skull face paint. He also wears a top hat, tuxedo tail coat, and white gloves. With one hand, he tips his hat to the viewer, wearing a knowing smile, with the other hand he holds a highball glass filled with a vibrant orange Sazerac cocktail.

On the right is an alligator mermaid loosely based on Marie Laveau, famed VooDoo Queen of New Orleans. She has long dredlocks held back by a white headscarf, and wears a necklace of bones. In one hand, she carries a staff topped with a human skull, with mermaid-shaped poppets stuck with pins hanging from the top.

Multilayered, handcut, 3 dimensional watercolor painting featuring a humpback whale and tiny mermaid companion breaching through cotton candy-colored clouds of vibrant pinks, sunset orangey yellows and sleepy violets. Beyond the clouds, the Milky Way ribbons it’s way across the sky.

Congrats on 14K, Aimee! 🎉 Thanks for the art share! 💚

3 dimensional, hand cut, multi-layered watercolor painting featuring a humpback whale, with a tiny mermaid friend, breaching through puffy, cotton candy-colored clouds. Beyond the clouds, the Milky Way ribbons across the sky.

Watercolor painting of a large, curling, twisting viper made of tree roots and tree bark skin. Along the twists and turns of the snake body are patches of vibrant green moss, dotted with tiny pink flowers. The snakes eyes are a milky green, staring out at the viewer. This is the Year of the Wood Snake.

Watercolor painting of a long haired, young woman, outlined in ink. A golden arrow passes through her body, piercing her heart on its way out. Behind her, where the arrow pierces her back, is a large blooming pool of deep red watercolor.

MerMay day 19…. For the #bioluminescent prompt. 11”x17” She needs a pass of glow in the dark paint, but later when I have more time & I’m not wiped out from painting 11”x14” or bigger full watercolors every single day for a month. I could have a solo gallery show. 😅 #watercolor #jellyfish #mermay
