When I first saw #JetBrainsAir, their new agentic development environment, I knew this was the direction #JetBrains needed. I'm glad to see Air improve and I'm excited to see it is now the centerpiece of their strategy: blog.jetbrains.com/blog/2026/09...

We're using #Quarkus #Roq (iamroq.dev ), a wonderful static site generator. I love the type-safetey. Here's what #Claude just told me about Qute, the templating engine: "That's a nice property of this setup — a bad template expression can't reach production. "

We've used #Harvestapp for time tracking for over a decade. After #BendingSpoons bought them — a company known for buying firms, cutting staff and sharply raising prices (see #Evernote, #Vimeo) — we got notice that in under 10 days our plan will switch to one that is 10× our current cost.

One of my favorite (relatively) recent #Java features is use of the underscore for unused variables. It lets developers and agents avoid using senseless one-letter variable names (at least in this case), and makes it clear there is no intent to use the variable. See docs.oracle.com/en/java/java....
