Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Today I saw a lizard/skink sunning itself in the garden, a magpie picking through the borders, and a flying fox flapping around in a tree outside our house. But the best part of the day was seeing my sister and baby nephew on a video call. 000
Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 06/07/2026This felt weird. A culmination of 18 months of organising and preparing. 000
Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 06/07/2026I have issues with dry eyes, so of course forgot to bring my eye drops in hand luggage for 22+ hours of flights. It’s cool, I can mostly figure out what the blurry stuff is around me. 000

Its other names, Flower Moon, & Budding Moon, also celebrate spring's abundance. Moonrise: 21:09* 121056

Reposted by Kirsty CECT Scotland @endconversiontherapy.scot · 12/02/2026This guidance is horrifying, and translates as the *expectation* that schools be permitted to force young trans people back into the closet in most circumstances. The expectation that doing so could successfully pressure them into no longer being trans into adulthood. Institutionalised conversion 29336
Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 13/02/2026Eating babies used to be the worst rumour you could spread about your enemy. It was one encouraged by leaders as it helped justify wars. 000
Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 04/12/2025My siblings and I suspect most of our family is neurodivergent. Only one of us has a diagnosis, but my mum just spent time laying out jigsaw pieces by shape and we discussed how we both like to do it like that. 000

Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 12/05/2025Phoned up to leave a message this morning to check I’ve not fallen off a waiting list, 45 minutes later the appointment letter was delivered. Impressive timing by the NHS or me. 000
Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 09/05/2025Stung by a bee for the first time, and it’s right on my neck. They’re nesting in our bird box, and have become territorial. I’ve now learned that only honey bees leave the stinger in, though, so the bee taught me a few valuable lessons. 000

Kirsty C @kirstysc.bsky.social · 13/03/2025Had a colonoscopy for the first time today, it was quick and the worse part was the prep at home. But the staff in that department? Amazing. And remind me of the nurses in dermatology in Grey’s anatomy. Just all happy and nice. The NHS is fucking amazing. (My colon is fine.) 000
