OMG I had to check my work emails regarding an extra case in court tomorrow and I've just read this from an HR person. "on a knee to nose basis" A KNEE TO NOSE BASIS 😳

Now that I think about pond trolls, the pond trolls are amphibians. This means that they must be born from spawn like a frog. Maybe initially they are tadpoles and they gradually grow into trolls.

I now have a limited amount of these for sale at www.kinsfolkminiatures.com including some miscasts at a discount. I can only post to mainland UK (sorry I don't have the ability to do the overseas admin yet).

I have some of these left over so I'll set up a shop on my website. For now it has to be mainland UK only. I need someone else to take on the admin for sales abroad 😅

A clumsy Natterjack Barkeep. I began with the digital sculpt, but since my printer has broken I made a hand sculpted version. An accidental Oktoberfest (Frog-Toad-Beer-Fest) themed mini. Can I mould and cast it before Spru on Saturday...

I don't want to accuse The Walking Dead of bad writing, but Rick is in a crashing helicopter twice in the same series.

Whimsical fantasy animals facing the end of the world. Yay or nay? Spoiler there's not really a nay, it's happening regardless.

I wish it could be done before Spru, but not sure! Would have been nice to have something new to show people for then, especially since I've been so quiet. But we'll see. In other news I've made the decision to open up myself to commissions soon. I'll make a proper announcement when I'm prepared.

I'm getting closer to launching the preview set of my new minis/game/setting. It's crazy how much they have changed just in the last week since I finished my initial templates. Sometimes you get tunnel vision and you need to step away to find your vision again.

It's such an unnecessary own-goal especially considering their customers are literally all artists. I enjoyed the recent advert from Samsung showing their 8TB SSD for filmmakers made using genAI video of a pretend guy doing some pretend filming 👌

Trying to do some research and a website is full of AI images how can I trust that the text isn't generated too? I think we're at a point where the only historical/educational information we can really trust is from books published before 2020.

I've had many years to get over this, but I still think the old boxy dreadnought is the best. Rogue trader one is also cool. They are all cool tbf, I just prefer boxboi.

Three days remaining for my Kickstarter! There are eight goblins, each with a scenic sprue and are cast in resin by @ramshacklegames.bsky.social. I sculpted the originals out of milliput and greenstuff If it gets to 100 backers, then an extra goblin will be unlocked for both tiers!

I have considered Moleskine to be outrageously overpriced for quite some time but using AI to generate a sketchbook cover betrays a level of hubris that is wild even for them. Those high prices and they couldn't be bothered to pay a human? Dump 'em. cjleo.com/blog/moleski...

'A simple (perfect) life' - my spring landscape is finally finished! An apple orchard in bloom, old railway, sheep with their lambs and an allotment being prepared for growing :) Zoom in to see all the other tiny details too... I think this might be my favourite aerial embroidery I've ever done!

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial view landscape. It depicts an apple orchard in bloom in the centre, allotments to the left and sheep in their field at the bottom. Train tracks go past the top of the orchard and allotment.

Sewn train tracks past an apple orchard (to the left).

An angled view of a sewn vegetable allotment surrounded by rough land, trees and with train tracks to the left.

An angled view of embroidered bushes and paths going through them leading to an orchard, allotment and fields.

Now if Nvidia can do a version without AI in it, that uses that extra freed up RAM to just make the intended performance better at a lower cost that would be swell. I still won't be able to afford it, but it would be nice.
