Antonia, who teaches at Concordia University in Montreal, made this Kinopio space for an art exhibition

I've been noticing long-time subscribers switch to the lifetime plan which is fine, but to keep the app growing I need a better balance between subscription and lifetime customers. So to keep Kinopio sustainable I'm thinking of increasing the lifetime plan price from $250 to $300 next month.

Stock art maintenance - if you've worked with me; I'm a big fan of @kinopio.club; I'm currently working out a way to catalogue my stock art - starting with #Morktober 2026. So this will be a white board experience with what each card/day would release with as I cut em up.

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 31/08/2026

Drag to Bend Connections [New] Drag any part of a connection line to control how it curves around other items. Handy for tidying things up, bunching lines together, and generally for making your spaces easier to follow. (Desktop only because mobile touching isn’t precise enough)

000

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 28/08/2026

make your own kind of calendar 🎵

020

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 27/08/2026

Think you’ll really like tomorrow’s update. Figuring out the best way to give you more control over your connection lines was a long time in the making, from dozens of experiments.

020

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 20/08/2026

Performance Improvements [New] Was inspired and spent a day working on some significant performance improvements, mostly noticeable when scrolling, panning, and zooming larger spaces, especially on mobile. (RAM isn't getting any cheaper (╥_╥) , so it's now extra important to optimize memory use)

010

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 19/08/2026

New little Quality of Life feature: clicking a space's group label toggles a filter to show all your other spaces in that group

Right-Side TOC [New] Hover over the visual Table Of Contents for an easier and funner way to jump to your Boxes, Lists, and Line dividers.

081

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 05/08/2026

how do you feel about adding the ability to have optional comment treads inside cards? (this image is from my earliest kinopio mockups so it's far from how cards look like now)

020

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 04/08/2026

wonder if it helps or distracts if i make the boxes display as rectangles

000

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 04/08/2026

right now when you have too many TOC items , things overlap badly

100

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 04/08/2026

refining the sidebar TOC interaction. made the TOC icons smaller so that they don't pull too much focus and used a little line on the right to differentiate line dividers from boxes and lists. The button on the bottom toggles on the labels.

101

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 02/08/2026

WIP Sidebar TOC experiment that uses a sidebar to give you more obvious access to your lines, lists, and boxes. (this would replace the current TOC button in the footer that's easy to forget about). What do you think?

000

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 02/08/2026

Improved Desktop Zooming [New] Whether you're using a space to give a presentation, or just want to focus on the details in an image, you can now zoom in 300%.

130

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 02/08/2026

Edit Below Card [New] Use this little toggle to shift the CardDetails editing area out of the way of the card so you can see what you're typing on it.

010

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 23/07/2026

> Yoooooo you can embed kinopio into Trilium (the note taking app). pretty useful when long form writing – Richie

020

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 17/07/2026

Added scroll to drag and resize items. So when holding on to an item and scroll, the item will move with you. Same goes for when you're resizing.

010

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 17/07/2026

🚛 not technically a bug, but fixed an issue where when the page is refreshed your scroll position would go back to 0,0 . This is the default browser behaviour, but on iOS when you switch from kinopio to another app, the page gets unloaded, so when you switched back you'd lose your position

000

Kinopio @kinopio.club · 17/07/2026

Connector Preview Color [New] When your hover over an item connector, it'll show you what color a new connection line dragged from it will be. Nothing too crazy, just a nice little detail.
