Never in my life have I considered ‘being upside down’ a desirable aspect of any form of transport.

She’ll get a cosy corporate gig regardless. Just so she isn’t tempted to go running her mouth about the dirty laundry.

Is that true though ? It’s my understanding - correct if wrong - that the U.S. has to date - despite Trump’s inconsistency- been supplying Ukraine a steady and solid supply of quality intel. It’s been unclear to me why this has persisted (though am glad it has). But is that the final leverage ?

And as a further ‘escalation of consequences’: whilst in Delta Green SAN loss from last inflicting / witnessing violence (and from other sources) can be deferred, that comes at a cost to social relationships. You might get through the op; but now your spouse and kids don’t want to know you….

Played it a few months back - cracking wee game with a nice, eerie atmosphere.

The MiB is truly missed. You can visit many a #DeltaGreen site these days and you won’t catch unprovoked ‘incoming’ verbals zingers from anyone at all 😀 Both disappointing… and as it should be…..

I remember NOT being a fan of this fella. Appeared on #DoctorWho in the mid-70s, so I’d have been around 6 or so, watching him - classically - from behind the armchair. Think my Dad tried to soothe me by calling him ‘Humpty Dumpty in a spacesuit.’ To no avail, alas.. Seems silly now. Not so then

What’s a poster you had in your room growing up ? Clear theme developing in my BSky circles. All I’ll say - for me: three quarters JRRT geekery one quarter teenage … ermm … longing ? Yes, yes that’s the appropriate word…..

You thought some of the casting for the last ‘House of Cards’ re-boot turned out a bit suspect ?

The fucking nick of his haircut back then. I mean, it’s awful now, but somehow even worse back then ? How was he even a ‘thing’ ?

The ‘Silent Hill’ games passed me by. (my loss/can’t play them all/never been a console guy/all thumbs etc). But as you are prob aware - ‘Still Wakes the Deep’ also has ‘working class Scotland’ deep in its - offshore - DNA. As ‘novel’ as when ‘Succession’ ended up on an estate in Dundee.

Kinnygraham @kinnygraham.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Somebody has already mentioned ‘gravity manipulation’ but yes ‘gravity’ on ships etc generally is ignored/handwaved in vast swathes of sci-fi. There’s also that whole Trek thing of does teleportation kill, and what is re-assembled is really a ‘copy’ and so it loops on…..

You are (somewhat) tempting me to check out 5th after deciding to blank it.. I was ‘all in’ on 4th only to have the scales pried away from my eyes etc by poor organisation and over complexity. Extensive 4th collection. TEW etc and much more. Easy to integrate to 5th play ?

120

Kinnygraham @kinnygraham.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

4th playthrough is impressive/dedicated on its own. I’d be tempted by a further DLC - but one, rather lengthy, play was enough for me. Totally loved it (and yes other ‘builds’ tempting) - but other games out there needing discovered / played as well.

‘Friday Night Lights’ a very good show which is probably why it was ‘exported’ to ‘foreign’ markets for the likes of me and others to see it, and get what felt like ‘real America’. In retrospect, very much smacks of the ‘before times’ when different values were at least aspired to.

I’m running DragonBane just now. We are really enjoying - the setting is somewhat ‘generic fantasy’ - though there are of course mallard/duck-folk, and wolfkin PCs to add a bit of quirkiness. But the system is great - ‘monsters’ are to be feared and with crits and fumbles - lots of fun moments.

120

Kinnygraham @kinnygraham.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I am keen to watch it. But my better half quite squeamish re medical dramas regardless of reported excellence….. Will make the attempt to persuade though….

Team and management combined have had an absolute shocker today. Only way to make amends is to take the 3 points next week and put 8 between us and them. Could not give a toss re the EL at this moment in time. The Board haven’t invested in us doing well in it so who should we get worked up ?

130

Kinnygraham @kinnygraham.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

That indeed is true. My unfortunate conclusion is/was that there’s not too much at all to say about it beyond that. I can’t say I was bored, but neither can I say I was enthused. And that’s not good enough for something Sopranos associated…

This article reads like a social bulletin scrawled in crayon on toilet paper, and smuggled out of Arkham Asylum. The immediate instinct is to just laugh - but Milo is ‘British’ - and we’re probably 2 years or so behind this curve/fall off a cliff. You can see our Right heading the same way.

I saw him (also his sister) at the ‘Comedy Church’ in Greenock BITD, me a drunk young student. Last week am listening to him voicing Scots officers in Ken Burns ‘American Revolution’ series. Have since the Greenock days got involved in some media stuff myself and conclusion is: life is nuts.

Not even done a search on it yet. Recalling he’s gay, so the fact that he’s been on ‘team fascist’ is of course already some cognitive dissonance par excellence - but betting that’s not it. Something nationality / citizenship shenanigans ?
