Visually the show continues to be off too frequently, the clothing never looks natural. Maybe is the lighting or materials but in most scenes it so clearly looks like the costumes they are. The few outfits that look fine are the more elaborate or sophisticated ones.

Season 2 of the live action Avatar series makes a lot of confusing and unnecessary changes worsen things. Even season 1 it never felt like they understood the cartoon as a whole or even more granular like specific episodes and moments, but at least season 1 stuck close enough to still be decent.

Exclusives made sense in the past when you had not only first party but a plethora of third party too. Current Sony puts out so few first party games a year and I doubt many third parties want to go exclusive so I find it hard to believe that a handful of exclusives moves the needle for most people.

The game awards is successful and popular because it gives a wide audience what it wants. If it catered to the small % of people who truly care about the artistry of games it would be a small show few watch. DICE and GDC awards have existed for years with the public showing no interest for them.

Obviously there are younger people who get in, & as they say streamers are definitely young, but it feels like the media who really shape coverage/conversations are an older group so you get skewed coverage toward classic games and a lack of opinions from people with no attachment to older consoles.

Globalization has lead to market penetration in pretty much all markets so there are not new untapped companies/people. Internet/cloud adoption is saturated. In general for tech there is not really a new thing that everyone will need to pay for anew(Unless you but the AI hype).

Yeah I just mean it feels like the interview kind of repeatedly says "making games is hard and takes times" without saying what makes game dev hard. I get from working in the software space, but was hoping for more, like when Warframe talked about how a chair sitting animation caused delays.

I get development is difficult and takes time, but was hoping they'd talk specific struggles like a certain mechanic or boss fight that never came together and had to be scrapped.
