To illustrate further how big shoujo anime and manga was in the early 00's, these are just a few cosplay photoshoot / meet ups at Anime Expo 2004 (Anaheim, CA) highlighting series such as Fruits Basket, Fushigi Yuugi, and various CLAMP series. I really miss the massive CLAMP meet ups!

Robe reveal! I started it in late 2023, assembled the patchwork & lining, & shelved it in Spring 2024. Picked it back up a couple weeks ago & added the red trims. It made a *slight* dent in my scrap stash 😅 #lotr #thehobbit #sewing #patchwork #scrabuster #stashbuster #cosplaymaker

Assembled into a very long rectangle, cut edges to even things out, and hemmed. Turning this into a skirt, going to try cartridge pleats for the 1st time! #stashbusting #scrapbusting

#MAGfest haul! So many trinkets & ribbons! Also bought some cute art, pins, & earrings. I took part in #MAGnseek & got most of the trinkets from the Friday AM meetup, but found a few things as well! Will make a separate post for the stuff I hid/gave away :3 #MAGfest2025 #trinkettrading

I’m incredibly proud of the hand sewing I did for this cosplay. I'm glad it's worth it. From the layers of the skirt to the intricate embroidery, it’s been months of hard work, but seeing it come together has been SO rewarding. Design by @noflutter Photography by @munchkin_photos_by_heather

Progress on my Maryland themed coordinate for Katsucon. And the paint glow up for the fake oriole I ordered online… it arrived looking like a mango and some paint results in it looking better.

if you made art this year, you did well. a sketch, even if it was scrapped ; a poem, even if it was deleted — mattered. you put thought to paper, you engaged with the creative alchemy of turning feeling to something tangible. doesn't matter if you weren't productive "enough." or good "enough."

In that weird space of still getting used to new social media platform & despite having years of stuff to post to new social media site, looking back on said stuff makes me go "ugh i have nothing to post" like the soc med equivalent of looking at a full fridge and going "ugh I have nothing to eat"

First ever cross stitch! I miscounted somewhere so there's an extra pixel round the left ear, and it turned out a bit stumpy XD but I like it. Thrifted a huge stash of floss yesterday + want to keep improving! #crossstitch #undertale #fiberarts #dogs #embroidery

Finished another paused project yesterday - was stuck on the closures & lining for awhile. 😅 I left a lot of room to take in or out if needed, so it's deeply pleated in the back. Also stashbusted the lining, leftover from Sansa's dress. Another project done & a new skirt for the winter 😊
